• Introducción al tema: • La reparación de equipos Teatro en Casa es solicitada con frecuencia por los consumidores debido a que es costeable, cosa que casi no ocurre con los simples reproductores DVD. • Al ser esta línea una importante fuente de trabajo, dirigimos hoy nuestra atención a revisar la arquitectura de estos equipos.

Arquitectura básica: Fundamentalmente un home theater es un reproductor DVD, adicionado con un sistema decodificador de sonido estereo y un circuito DSP para control de volumen, equalización, graficos y un generador de efectos sonoros como surround , asi como circuitos amplificadores de potencia en audio y bafles. La arquitectura de un HT realmente es sencilla, resultando ser mas complejo el manejo de la tarjeta debido a la escala de integración de esta.

Para el reconocimiento de esta tecnología, tomamos como referencia al modelo DAV-DZ120K de Sony, el cual dispone principalmente de las etapas siguientes: – – – –

Mecanismo “PLATO” Si bien existen sistemas complejos BASE DEL CD para 5 CDs en carrousel, la mayoría de los equipos teatro en casa disponen de un mecanismo sencillo, MULTICONECTOR que sólo maneja un disco por vez. FLEXIBLE El mecanismo de CD consta de una bandeja deslizable para la carga y descarga del CD, un pick up lasser MOTOR Y lector, ensamble de motores con ENGRANES SLED sistema de tracción a la bandeja, disco, así como un chasis o ensamble SW. LIMITE PICK UP LASSER principal. Asociado al mecanismo se encuentra el IC driver, que se encarga de impulsar al dispositivo de dos ejes (enfoque y seguimiento) del pick up y MOTOR los motores de carga-descarga, load, SPINDLE spindle y sled.

La señal lograda por el pick up lasser se aplica al procesador DVD IC 1101 (CXD9849R), adonde finalmente se decodifica, permitiendo recuperar las señales de audio y video comprimidas en formato MPEG2. Sin duda los procesos realizados en este IC son muchos y muy complejos. Al punto que de diagnosticarse dañado este IC, se considera que el ciclo de vida útil del equipo ha finalizado. El fabricante no comercializa a este chip y por el tamaño de sus terminales, es poco menos que imposible reemplazarlo. Este IC es apoyado en su labor de proceso de datos y decodificación por dos memorias del tipo SDRAM y FLASH a 64 y 32 Mb respectivamente.

SYSCON El sistema de control o Syscon se encarna de gobernar las funciones lógicas que debe desempeñar el equipo, tanto las que resultan visibles al usuario, como carga y descarga de disco, funciones de lectura, salto de pista, así como aquellas que se operan al interior del equipo como son habilitaciones, resets, protecciones, instrucciones de silenciamiento (Mute), relojes para sincronización de sistema, etc. Usted puede comprobar estas funciones empleando un multímetro digital y un osciloscopio y del diagrama esquemático del equipo. Sea cuidadoso al realizar las mediciones.

ETAPA DE AUDIO El home theaters Sony DAV-DZ120K incopora una etapa de audio, la cual carga hasta 6 bafles, siendo estos señalados como: 2 Bafles frontales 2 Bafles Surround 1 Bafle Central 1 Bafle sub-woofer, El conjunto permite recrear el efecto sonoro Surround que aumentan el realismo del programa de video, tal como un concierto, una película de acción, etc. Aún cuando existen diversos sistemas de estereofonía, uno de los más empleados en estos equipos es el denominado Dolby 5.1.

Etapa de audio El teatro en casa Sony DAV-DZ1200K cuenta con un amplificador S-Master Digital que logra una excelente fidelidad y separación de señales. El S-Master opera todas las señales en modo digital y amplifica a estas como tal, sin necesidad de convertirlas en análogo antes de amplificarlas. Con una trayectoria de señal simplificada y procesamiento digital completo, la señal de audio se toma directamente de la etapa DSP. Esto mantiene la pureza de la señal de audio digital hasta la salida del amplificador, reproduciendo un sonido realista al igual que la grabación original. Los amplificadores del S-master son de clase D y están diseñados para ser altamente eficientes, adonde la producción de calor es mínima y tan sólo ocupan una cuarta parte del espacio de los amplificadores análogos convencionales!!

FUENTE DE ALIMENTACION Para sostener el consumo eléctrico de estos equipos se emplean fuentes de alimentación del tipo conmutada. Estas fuentes se caracterizan por ser de multivoltaje, estables y seguras ante sobrecargas eléctricas y sobre todo por presentar un mínimo de averías. Para el equipo que hoy nos concierne, se emplean dos Ics reguladores de tensión (IC921 e IC901), adonde el primero se encarga de generar entre otras la tensíón de espera o Stand By y el segundo de crear la tensión de +31.5v para la etapa de potencia de audio. Naturalmente para el caso, existen dos transformadores Chooper T901 y T902, así como sus elementos de rectificación y filtraje, entre algunos reguladores auxiliares (IC941, 942 y 943)9.

Los fallos en fuente no son frecuentes, pero nada les descarta el que puedan ocurrir. Afortunadamente la mayoría de fabricantes de estos equipos aún colocan el diagrama esquemático en el manual de servicio, lo que facilita el reconocimiento, diagnóstico y reparación de la etapa. El daño mas frecuente que llega a ocurrir en estas secciones se centra a los Ics reguladores de voltaje y capacitores eléctrolíticos secos. Habitualmente estos equipos están conectados las 24 hrs a la línea AC, lo que en un momento dado esta pueda sobrecargarse y provocar daño en alguno de los elementos referidos.

SERVICIO Entre las principales averías que presentan los teatros en casa se destacan aquellas relacionadas con el mecanismo y la lectura de los discos bajo reproducción. En segundo lugar, aquellas que inciden en la etapa de salida de audio y en tercero las de fuente de alimentación. Prácticamente no se registran averías en las etapas de proceso para señal DVD y en el Sistema de control. De esta manera, debemos apuntar nuestros recursos de servicio a las secciones señaladas, de las cuales por cierto es relativamente sencillo adquirir refacciones o partes. Esto no ocurre igual en Ics de multifunciones como el procesador de señal DVD o el mismo IC Syscon.

Reemplazo del Pick Up: Para el caso en que usted determine que el pick up lasser se encuentra dañado, es preferible que adquiera y reemplace el ensamble mecánico completo, que incluye motores. Pareciera ser que los pick ups aquí ensamblados responden mejor que los que se comercializan sueltos. No es recomendable que usted intente un reajuste de ganancia de lectura con los pre-sets que dispone el pick up lasser. Esto sólo brinda resultados en el corto plazo y pronto estará sufriendo los reclamos de su consumidor. Un toque de aceite lubricante fino auxiliará un optimo deslizamiento del pick up en los ejes laterales.

Por su parte, los motores del ensamble del pick up con frecuencia se muestran resistivos al estar sucias sus escobillas. Si el valor resistivo de un motor es superior a unos 15 ohmios, deséchelo y coloque otro nuevo. Aplicarles algún desoxidante brinda resultados temporales. También es frecuente encontrar dañado el multiconector flexible (pinflex) que conecta al pick up a la tarjeta de proceso DVD. Otro problema frecuente es el desajuste en la altura del plato CD, el cual debe ser colocado en el punto ideal, basados en la práctica de error y acierto.

Multiconector Flexible: Si bien casi todos los teatros en casa emplean un multiconector estándar (PWB flexible), en algunos casos los fabricantes implementan otros de formas caprichosas y que es difícil en ocasiones reemplazarles. En condiciones de uso normal estos multiconectores flexibles raramente se dañan. Mas bien esto ocurre por el mal manejo que los técnicos de servicio le dan cuando lo manipulan durante la de reparacion. No intente repararlos, instale flexibles nuevos cada vez que así sea necesario.
