‘Forrest Gump’ Movie Review(

Forrest Gump, a movie directed by Robert Zemeckis is not only the movie that informs the viewer about the life of very simple man, it also teaches morals and the way life is perceived in the beautiful mind of a simple man. This movie is historical documentary, comedy, drama, action and romances all rolled into one. Tom Hanks ambitiously took on the project despite the doubts of producers and directors. When the movie got released, it became box-office hit, won several Oscars and other international awards acclaiming Hanks one of the best actors worldwide. I was hypnotized, right from the soft piano music played as the audience follows the flight of the feather. The feather lands at the foot of Forrest, who was sitting on a park bench waiting for a bus and he throughout the movie narrates the story as a series of different people sit down to wait next to him, Forrest offers each of them a chocolate and relates the tale of his life thus far. As a child, Forrest lived alone with his mama in Alabama. He was short on IQ. But he was pure, simple and innocent soul who followed the straight path through the world and the homely advice of his mama. As he grew up, he met Jenny, only friend from his kindergarten to college love of his life. For Jenny, she has lust of earning name and fame by singing on-stage. She didn’t walk the way Forrest offered her but Forrest always stood by her all craziness and loneliness-till her death.

In my opinion, this movie really deserves a long and loud applauds-for it is – a masterpiece. Brilliant cinematography and acting, incredible music and wonderful story that interact with events that actually occurred and impacted on the American society has pinned the film in ever-hit-list along with Titanic. And of course the real appeal is in the title-character, brilliantly portrayed by Tom Hanks. The special effects are used uniquely and widely throughout the movie. There was great use of special effects when Forrest meets several national figures like Late-American presidents, pop singers which enables the viewer think that Forrest was in that time and able to meet them in person. The whole world viewer cheered and clapped when he one after another bloomed with fame, from the star rugby player to hero of Vietnam war, from Ping-Pong champion to the richest shrimp operator, from cross-country runner to popular philanthropist; there was little which Forrest didn’t try or do. This simple man showed that the heart can overrule the intellect any day. As we watch Forrest, we remember to slow down and enjoy the finer thing in life. We appreciate the importance of faith and love. Above all, Forrest speaks for the many in society who have so much to offer but are avoided because they are not especially smart or coordinated. Sometimes, the greatest wisdom and kindness is found in the weakest minds and bodies. So reach out to those who are different; don’t reject them. Watch this movie about this amazing man and dare to see the world through the eyes of Forrest Gump. Final Words: As you have read the review, I think you are convinced that this movie is really something-something rich indeed. Hence, I recommend you to watch this movie as soon as possible and who had watched it, just go and watch again.
