Upper body:

Working in rounds. Using gray yarn.

Working in rows. Using gray yarn. Start with foundaon chain. Note that you may need to increase or decrease the number of stches to match your wooden ring. Foundaon chain should ‘hug’ wooden ring completely.

(sc 4, inc) repeat 2 mes [12] Fasten off and leave long thread for sewing. Do not stuff the trunk completely. Only the lower half needs to be filled with fiberfill.

Tail: 1. Make 6 strands of gray yarn. Around 15cm length. 2. Take lower body part. Bend strands in a half. Insert the hook in the middle of the part and pull all the strands through forming the loop. 3. Pull the lose ends through the loop and fasten off. Now you have 12 strands aached to lower body part firmly. 4. Divide strands in 3 parts (4 strands in each) and make a braid. Tie a knot in the end of your desired length. Crop the remaining threads.

Assembly: 1. Sew the upper body part around the wooden ring. 2. Sew the lower body part around the wooden ring. 3. Place the trunk between rows 12 and 13 (same as the eyes). Trunk should be almost but not completely flat. 4. Place ears on the sides of the head. Top of the ear should start at 7 round. 5. Finally aach the head on the upper body part as firmly as you can, so it doesn’t move when shaking.
