Like many people with ASD, he 1benefits from 2leading a predictable life. As he talks, he studies my shirt and counts the 3stitches. Ever since the age of three, when he suffered an epileptic fit, Tammet has been 4 obsessed with counting. He also happens to be autistics, which is why he can’t drive a car, 5wire a 6plug, or tell right from left. Last year, Tammet broke the European record for recalling pi, the mathematical constant, to the 7furthest decimal point. Tammet is 8softly spoken, and shy about making eye contact, which makes him seem younger than he is. He lives on the Kent coast, but never goes near the beach – there are too many 9pebbles to count. I have tried to be more flexible, but I always 10end up feeling more uncomfortable. It has had the 11fringe benefit of keeping human interaction to a minimum. As a child, I regularly 12took over a room in the house and started my own lending library. I’ve read more books than anyone else I know. So, I was delighted when Kim wanted to meet in a library.

Nikola Tesla Nikola Tesla was a brilliant scientist because he invented and discovered many things. When he was at the university, he used to invent things, but he didn’t get good results. Nikola didn’t have money to invest in their inventions for that reason he had got to work so hard. Their transformation occurred after he worked with Thomas Alva Edison because he had discovered the AC current. Nikola had to leave their job, but he had enough expertise to emerge a new company. He was persistent and he continued working hard, in consequence, he discovered the X-ray. If he had enough resources, he might become the best scientist ever.
