A few years ago I went to the UK with two friends to study at a language school in London. The day after I arrived was a very special day for me because it was my 21st birthday. After our classes finished we went for coffee in Leicester Square.

Then we went to the theatre to see a play called The Children’s Hour. I wanted to see it because my favourite actress, Keira Knightley, was in it. We sat in a box and had a very good view. The play was really good and Keira

When the play ended we went for a meal in a Japanese restaurant near the theatre. It was quite crowded, but the food was great. We had sushi and salad – it was very nice. After the meal my friends gave me presents and then the whole restaurant sang Happy Birthday!

After we left the restaurant we walked past the theatre again – and there was Keira Knightley! I went over and said hello and she was really friendly to me. We talked for about five minutes and then my friends took some photos of me and Keira together.

When I got home I emailed all my friends in Japan and told them about my birthday. I also sent them the photos of me and Keira! It really was a night to remember.
