Collaborative Project Instructions Level III The objective of the entire project is to create a mind map and record a video based on the main details of the short stories written by Edgar Allan Poe and one of the following aspects: characters’ main events or story events. This project is divided in three phases which will be solved along each term. Term

Once you have defined your group, work collaboratively using a virtual tool and present a video recording following these instructions. First Phase 1. Make a group of three members, in the link “Creating My Group”, select a group by clicking

on the options provided in the platform, then click on the button “Save my option” to finish the process. Note: If you do not select one group according to the dates required in the course agenda, the teacher will assign you a random group. 2. After reading the story The Black Cat on pages 41 to 44 of the Story Teller, start creating a story map activity based on the graphic organizer below. Once your group has completed the map, Send your Map in pdf form to SEND MY ACTIVITY FIRST TERM.

Second Phase 1.

During this term you must read the story The Tell-Tale Heart on pages 71 to 74 and create a new mind map using what you learnt on the previous term. Continue with the group you created at the beginning of the semester. The final grade for this term will be based on the information provided for your group. Third Phase 1.

Once you have read the story The Mask of The Red Death on pages 8 to 12, create a script to help you make a video along with your group.

Record a video based on the following topics: •

Main characters description: Every member of the group must choose a character of the story and describe it (his/her role in the story, character traits, qualities, etc) and the main events around him/her at the beginning, in the middle and at the end of the story.( 30 seconds each member of the group)

Story events: Every member of the group must relate one part of the story (beginning, middle or end) and retell it in a video. ( 60 seconds each member of the group)

Important notes: In the description of each chapter you are free to include pictures and any important detail you and your group consider relevant to complete your task, for example a brief description of the characters or important details about the settings of each chapter. The graphic provided here is just a model for you to guide the writing task. The entire group is responsible about the answers presented in this activity. Writing in your description identical ideas as the provided by other groups will be penalized for any of the groups involved in the plagiarism
