Work Breakdown Structure • Technique for defining and organizing the total scope of a project, using a hierarchical tree structure • It generate the task (job) list for the projects • Can be activity-oriented or deliverable-oriented • The first two levels of the WBS (the Level 1 and Level 2) define a set of planned outcomes that collectively and exclusively represent 100% of the project scope • WBS elements to be numbered sequentially to reveal the hierarchical structure. For example 1.3, 1.3.2 , 1.3.2.3, etc. •For project scheduling, use activities from level 3 or higher
