he RD-II SR is the ideal temperature control unit for large straight trucks needing maximum cooling capacity. At -20oF with an ambient temperature of 100oF, it can generate 10,000 Btu per hour. That’s more than enough refrigeration capacity for any temperature requirement. What’s more, the RD-II SR is designed for use with totally chlorine-free R-404A refrigerant. This means Zero ozone depletion potential, Zero chlorofluorocarbons, Zero hydrochlorofluorocarbons and Zero chlorine. Zero ODP and Zero chlorine means a transport refrigeration system that meets all international requirements for refrigerants.

airflow The Thermo King SMART REEFER system employs two high output, belt driven fans that are powered by the system’s diesel engine. This creates a large volume of high velocity air circulation throughout the entire cargo area, providing faster box temperature pulldowns, faster recoveries after door openings, minimal temperature fluctuations and virtual elimination of hot spots and short cycling.
