SELF-REFLECTION

One of the activities I had planned days ago, it was in an online student engagement platform called Nearpod, because of the pandemic and classes had to be held online and the aim of the class was to learn past continuous tense and practice, first of all, my students like Nearpod, they think it is engaging, funny and practical so I decided to use and did a lesson on that topic, the language skill to develop was writing and they were supposed to fix sentences in past continuous. During the online session, they understood the structure, but when writing the exercises not all of them did, so I asked them to try and give them some more time, and because of this, suddenly the time was over and they had to go to another class so we did not finish the lesson, thus we could not reach the goal for the class because not everybody did just some of them. After the lesson and reflecting how it could go better, I guess I should have reviewed verbs finishing in -ing, and also the past form of the BE verb. And this way they could do the exercises faster, next class I will design a better lesson plan.
