MATERIALS Yarn :

Depends on your choice, I used sport weight yarn (160m/50gr) with colors: cream, grey, white, light grey. Small amount of dark grey.

Hook :

Size 2.25 mm

Two 6mm safety eyes, wire thread (optional) Stuffing (polyfill, cotton wool, etc.), needle for sewing, scissors, pins Pink blush for the cheeks

NOTE When you need to decrease: make Invisible Decrease crochet stitches to have a better result. The size of the doll will vary, depending on the yarn used. If you use the same materials as me, the finished size is 15 cm.

EAR (make 2, cream) Crochet in a magic ring, ch 1, 4 hdc, 1 sc. Tighten the ring. Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing (photo 1).

Rnd 2: inc in all 8 st [16] Rnd 3: (sc in next st, inc in next st) repeat 8 times [24] Rnd 4 (first layer of hair): BLO, (sl st in next st; ch 17, starting from the second ch from hook, 15 hdc; skip 1 st) repeat 12 times (photos 2-3). At the end we have 12 strands. Second layer of hair: continuing on the FLO of rnd 4 (photo 4), work as the first layer. Fasten off, leaving a very long tail for sewing (photo 5).

HEAD ASSEMBLY Using cream yarn, embroider the nose over 2 stitches between two eye, at rnd 15 and embroider the eyelid over each eye. Using light grey yarn, embroider the eyebrow over 2 stitches at rnd 12. Sew the ears on either side of head, between rnds 14 & 16, about 5 stitches apart from the eye (photos 6-7). Place the hair on the head with the wrong side face to you (photo 8). Using the pins to keep the strands in place, sew the strands to its place and keep 5 strands of the forehead free (photos 9-10). Using makeup plush, add colors for the cheeks.

ARM (make 2, begin with cream yarn) Rnd 1: sc 8 into a magic ring [8] Rnd 2: (inc in next st, sc in next 3 st) repeat 2 times [10] Rnds 3-4 (2 rnds): sc in all 10 st [10] At the end of rnd 4, change to grey yarn. Rnd 5: BLO, (inc in next st, sc in next st) repeat 5 times [15] Rnds 6-10 (5 rnds): sc in all 15 st [15] Rnd 11: dec, sc in next 13 st [14] Flatten the opening of the arm and sc in next 7 st through both layers to close the opening (photo 11). Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing (photo 12).

LEGS (make 2, begin with dark grey yarn) Rnd 1: sc 7 into a magic ring [7] Rnd 2: inc in all 7 st [14] Rnds 3-4 (2 rnds): sc in all 14 st [14] At the end of rnd 4, change to white yarn. Rnd 5: BLO, sc in all 14 st [14] At the end of rnd 5, change to cream yarn. Rnd 6: BLO, sc in next 7 st, inc in next st, sc in next 6 st [15] Rnds 7-8 (2 rnds): sc in all 15 st [15] Rnd 9: sc in next 7 st, inc in next st, sc in next 7 st [16] Rnd 10: sc in all 16 st [16] For the first leg: Fasten off.

For the second leg: At the end of rnd 10, change to grey yarn (photo 13), we will join both legs to crochet the body.

BODY (grey yarn) Begin with the second leg: ch 1, join the first leg with a sc. This stitch will be the first stitch of the body (photo 14). Rnd 1: sc in all 16 st of the first leg; working in the ch, 1 sc; sc in all 16 st of the second leg; work in the remaining loops of the ch, 1 sc [34] Rnds 2-5 (4 rnds): sc in all 34 st [34] Start stuffing the legs and body firmly, adding more as you go. Rnd 6: sc in next 8 st, dec, sc in next 15 st, dec, sc in next 7 st [32] Rnds 7-10 (4 rnds): sc in all 32 st [32] Rnd 11: sc in next 7 st, dec, sc in next 14 st, dec, sc in next 7 st [30] Rnds 12-15 (4 rnds): sc in all 30 st [30] At the end of rnd 15, change to cream yarn, leaving the grey yarn outside to crochet the dress later (photo 15). Rnd 16: BLO, sc in next 7 st, dec, sc in next 13 st, dec, sc in next 6 st [28] Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

DRESS (grey yarn) With feet facing upwards, working in front loops of rnd 15, insert the crochet to the first st and take the grey yarn (photo 16). Rnd 1: (sc in next 4 st, inc in next st) repeat 6 times [36] Rnd 2: BLO, sc in all 36 st [36] Rnds 3-5 (3 rnds): sc in all 36 st [36]

SCARF (white yarn) Row 1: ch 54, starting in the 5th ch from hook, {1 dc, ch 1, 2 dc} in the same st, (skip 4 st, {2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc} in the same st) repeat 8 times, skip 4 st, {2 dc, ch 1, 1 dc} in the same st, skip 4 st, sl st in the last ch; turn the work. Row 2: (ch 3, sl st in next st) repeat 4 times, skip 2 st, ({2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc} in the chain space, skip 4 st) repeat 7 times, {2 dc, ch 1, 2 dc} in the chain space, skip 2 st, sl st, (ch 3, sl st in the next st) repeat 4 times. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing (photo 18).

Sew the head to the body, stuffing firmly before closing (photo 20). Place the scarf around the body and sew it in place. Glasses (optional – for decoration only, do not use for the children): using the wire thread, make the glasses (photos 21-22-23-24-25). Bend the tip and roll the tape around to secure (photos 26- 27). Repeat on the other side.
