Integral Lubricators and Risers

Wireline Pressure Control Equipment

Hunting Integral Lubricator and Riser sections are designed to act as a chamber for deploying wireline tools into the well whilst under pressure. Available in standard lengths of 4ft, 5ft, 6ft, 8ft, 10ft and 12ft (or just about any other length that a customer may require) and fitted with standard quick unions, they are coupled together to provide sufficient length to accommodate the tool string. Longer sections may be referred to as Riser Sections and are often used on platforms to “raise” the lubricator rig up from the Christmas tree to the rig floor.

Manufactured from one piece of steel, Integral Lubricators offer absolute security, serviceability and rigidity. All lubricators can be supplied as Ported. At least one ported section would usually be used in each rig up, just above the BOP. The port or ports are used to monitor pressure and to bleed down pressure from the lubricator rig up once the tools are back in the lubricator and the well is closed in and made safe. Typically the port will be ½” NPT for 10K working pressure and below, or .56 Autoclave High Pressure for pressures above 15K. Manufactured from one piece of steel, Integral Lubricators offer absolute security, serviceability and rigidity. Other than the quick union connections themselves, there are no leak paths and no additional threads or seals to maintain. (See charts overleaf)
