Supplies

Notes

• Sport weight yarn in colors: o Pink or Hot Pink - 50 yards/45 meters (I used: El Gato “Meta” yarn in color 4635E). o White - 55 yards/50 meters (I used: El Gato “Meta” yarn in color 4600P). o Skin tone - 50 yards/45 meters (Light, Medium, Dark, etc. I used “Petit Berger” yarn in a light skin tone) o Light Yellow - 3 yards/2.5 meters (I used: El Gato “Meta” yarn in color 4604B). o Light Blue - 15 yards/14 meters (I used: El Gato “Meta” yarn in color 4662A). o Lilac - 15 yards/14 meters (I used: El Gato “Meta” yarn in color 4649R). • 3.00 mm. crochet hook • 2 (8 mm.) safety eyes • Black thread (for the eyelashes) • Pink eyeshadow, blush or pink chalk for the cheeks • Yarn needle • Thread needle • Stitch markers • Scissors • Silicon or glue (optional) • Stuffing material of your choice

• This pattern uses US Crochet Terms. • The doll is worked from the bottom to the top, starting with the legs and finishing with the head. • You’ll need to switch yarn colors in the body, legs, arms and skirt. • I like to crochet amigurumis and dolls very tight, so it can keep its shape. • You can make a bigger toy by using a larger size of hook or by using a thicker yarn. • I suggest that you stuff the neck very very firmly, so the head won’t tilt. If you feel the head unsteady even if you stuffed the neck very firmly, you can put half of a straw inside of the doll, going from the middle of the body to the middle of the head. You can also roll up a piece of foam (or EVA foam) and insert it through the middle of the body up to the middle of the head. You can also make this for the legs, inserting the straws or foam, if you need more support for the legs. This pattern is for personal use only. Please do not copy, share or distribute pattern. PATTERN We’re going to join the legs with a round of single crochet around both legs. Pl ace the legs together, the feet pointing toward you.

So, let’s continue with the body and using white yarn. Round 30: (This is the round of joining the legs that we’ve been talking about. So, join the legs and make a round of single crochet around both legs. (30)

A great help is to join the legs with a piece of (white) yarn first, so this way, the legs stay in place while you make the round of single crochet. Leave the piece of yarn there, don’t take it off, it will help to close the gap that forms when you join the legs.

The l ast round of each leg has 15 single crochet, so, when joining and crocheting around the legs together, we will finish having 30 single crochet.

Use light blue yarn and work in rounds without joining the rounds. Use a stitch marker so you know where a round begins.

Use light blue, lilac and hot pink yarn. Cut strands of yarn of the desired length of hair. I decided to make the strands 17-18 in. long (45 cm). I used around 84 strands of yarn for the hair (28 lilac, 28 light blue, 28 hot pink), but feel free to make more or less if you think that your doll needs it.

Step by step instructions: 1. Insert hook. 2. Pull yarn through loop. 3. Yarn over. 4. Pull yarn through loop. 5. Continue attaching strands of yarn into every stitch of rounds 13 and 14 of the hair wig (84 stitches in total, since rounds 13 and 14 have 42 stitches each). Attach lilac yarn, then light blue, and then hot pink. Continue with the secuence. Add more hair if you desire. 6. Use another strand of yarn to make a pony tail. 7. Fix hair and cut to desired length. 8. Secure the hair wig with silicone or glue (optional). 1
