In the NDT, certifications can be approached from different aspects, the regulatory framework will always try to help in the inspection processes.

With so many regulations, each person might wonder why not standardize everything?

Reviewing in detail each rules can be identified that some employers benefit more, others seek to standardize global processes and the latter are somewhat more rigorous in general.

probably

NAS-410 is perhaps the most appropriate procedures regarding safe and reliable certification, NDT practices more standardized and can be very good in the aviation and aerospace field, particularly when required to train and certify staff.

or

ISO-9712 standards has sought to globalize and standardize certifications are an organization endorsed and reputable, a certified person can use your certificate for different jobs and NDT practices

However, some certifications are unique to one company and others are global.

The purpose of all regulations is to generate certification mechanisms.

Be familiar with other nondestructive testing methods and authorized for supervision and guidance at all levels Require the ability to check and prepare documents and knowledge of the requirements of other methods used by the employer. Not explicitly require the ability to check and prepare documents and knowledge requirements most common NDT methods. Explicitly require the ability to verify and prepare documents and knowledge about the requirements for other methods by taking the ASNT level III exam.

Authorized to monitor and provide guidance to staff below the level II

Staff supervision requires Level II or III

It requires the ability to develop procedures to be approved by a maximum level Does not require the development of procedures

It requires written approval of Level III for assessments and knowledge of sample preparation required Requires knowledge of required sample preparation and toplevel written approval

Does not require development of procedures

knowledge of the practice and no written approval required

There are several reasons why it is very difficult to standardize all regulations and that there may be a global or general framework for all of them, one of the reasons why it may be impossible to achieve this objective is that organizations since their creation have sought to maintain the hegemony they possess. Second, companies and industries often benefit when regulations are less stringent and favor economic processes. Lastly, the most reliable standards always tend to be equally the most expensive in terms of staff training value and compensation. A clear example, NAS is perhaps the best in aviation, while ISO adapts to almost any industry, while ASNT can save certain expenses. In conclusion, perhaps each standard should remain in force today and perhaps adapt to changes as they deem appropriate.
