Wood Middle School 20162017 Beginning Band Required Equipment INSTRUMENTS: Students will need to furnish their own instruments unless they are assigned to play oboe, bassoon, tuba, euphonium (baritone), or French horn. Students playing these instruments will need to purchase their own mouthpiece and supplies. There is a $30.00 maintenance fee for use of one of these schoolowned instruments. For the other instruments, most music stores have a rental purchase plan, cash discounts, etc. There are several reputable dealers in the area. If for some reason you cannot purchase the required equipment, please call or email one of the directors before making any other purchases.
