To understand voltage in the body, one must understand the term “pH”. When you think about voltage in a copper wire, the switch is either on or off and electrons are either moving through the wire or not. However in a liquid, you have the possibility of the solution to be an electron donor or an electron stealer. To measure the voltage of a liquid, one must use a special “voltmeter” called a pH meter. Such a meter measures both the voltage and whether it is an electron donor or an electron stealer. The software will then convert it to a logarithmic scale called pH. The scale ranges from zero to 14. A pH of zero is a synonym of +400 millivolts of electron stealer and -400 millivolts of electron donor is a synonym of a pH of 14.

As you will see, cells are designed to run at a voltage of -20 to -25 millivolts. This is the same as saying that cells must run in an environment of a pH of 7.35 to 7.45 (different sources vary slightly, so don’t get lost about whether it is -17 or -20 millivolts and whether a pH of zero is +400 or +420 millivolts). The colors in the chart represent the voltage of pH test strips.

HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK Concepts to understand about INTRA and EXTRA – CELLULAR pH and Membrane Potential: Intracellular is the term that describes inside the cell (Intra). Extracellular is the term that describes outside the cell (Extra). Intracellular pH From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia All cells contain an intracellular fluid whose pH value is known as the intracellular pH (pHi). The pHi plays a critical role in the function of the cell, and close regulation is required for cells to survive. There are numerous mechanisms that can cause pHi to change, including metabolic acid production, leakage of acid across plasma and organelle membranes and membrane transport processes. The mechanisms that regulate pHi are usually considered to be plasma membrane transporters of which two main types exist — those independent of HCO3− and those requiring HCO3−. The normal extracellular pH is 7.4±0.1. (~-25 millivolts) Intracellular pH is around 6.8 (~1.0 mV) due to acid production. It contains low HCO3− levels and thereby at pCO2 above 45 mmHg, the pH can not be 7.4 (~_25 mV)but much lower. The intercellular pH of HEK cells (HEK 293) (Human Embryonic Kidney cells used in laboratory experiments) is 7.3. In the pH range between 6.8 and 7.4, lymphocytes maintain a constant internal pH of 7.17± 0.06 (~-20 mV) pH unit. Out side this range, intracellular pH changes with extracellular pH. In humans, the normal glucose concentration of extracellular fluid that is regulated by homeostasis is approximately 5 mM/L, and the pH is tightly regulated by buffers around 7.4 (~- 25 mV). The volume of ECF is typically 15 L, of which 12 L is interstitial fluid and 3 L is plasma. Interstitial fluid makes up 16% of human body weight, and blood plasma, 4%. Many are confused about the voltage of cells because they remember the voltage reading if you put an electrode inside the cell and one outside the cell and measure the “transmembrane potential. Of course our cells in our body are not in a petri dish to measure this potential. Our cells are designed to work in an environment of -20 to -25 millivolts even though the transmembrane potential may be as high as -90 millivolts. Membrane potential From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Differences in the concentrations of ions on opposite sides of a cellular membrane lead to a voltage called the membrane potential. Typical values of membrane potential are in the range –40 mV to –80 mV. Many ions have a concentration gradient across the membrane, including potassium (K+), which is at a high concentration inside and a low concentration outside the membrane. Sodium (Na+) and chloride (Cl−) ions are at high concentrations in the extracellular region, and low concentrations in the intracellular regions. These concentration gradients provide the potential energy to drive the formation of the membrane potential. This voltage is established when the membrane has permeability to one or more ions.

The uncompensated positive charges outside the cell, and the uncompensated negative charges inside the cell, physically line up on the membrane surface and attract each other across the lipid bilayer. Thus, the membrane potential is physically located only in the immediate vicinity of the membrane. It is the separation of these charges across the membrane that is the basis of the membrane voltage. Note also that this diagram is only an approximation of the ionic contributions to the membrane potential. Other ions including sodium, chloride, calcium, and others play a more minor role, even though they have strong concentration gradients, because they have more limited permeability than potassium. The large purple structure with an arrow represents a transmembrane potassium channel and the direction of net potassium movement. Membrane potential (also transmembrane potential or membrane voltage) is the difference in electric potential between the interior and the exterior of a biological cell. With respect to the exterior of the cell, typical values of membrane potential range from –40 mV to –80 mV. Thus we see that cells are designed to run in an environment of -20 to -25 millivolts of electron donor: cells must have energy to work!

What Happens When Voltage Drops: There are several bad things that happen as voltage begins to drop. Voltage Drop: Fatigue At -15 millivolts, you are tired. Voltage Drop: Oxygenation Drops As voltage drops more, several bad thing get worse, ending with cancer. The amount of oxygen that will dissolve in water is dictated by the voltage of the water. If you put a tube into a glass of water and bubble in oxygen, the amount of oxygen that dissolves in the water is dictated by the voltage of the water. Since our cells are about 70% water, as voltage in our cells drops, the oxygen comes out of solution. As oxygen levels drop, several other bad things happen. HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK Pain is a symptom of low voltage. As voltage drops, we have chronic pain due to lack of oxygen. Inside our cells, a rechargeable battery system provides the voltage necessary for the cell to work. When the batteries are charged, they are called “ATP”. When they are discharged, they are called “ADP”. Since we have a rechargeable battery system, we need a battery charger. It is called the Krebs Cycle or the citric acid cycle. It prefers to run on fatty acids. If oxygen is present, for every unit of fatty acids that passes through the Krebs Cycle, you get enough electrons to charge up 38 of these ADP batteries. If oxygen is low, for every unit of fatty acids processed by the Krebs Cycle, you only get enough electrons to charge up two of these ADP batteries. This is like a car going from 38 miles/gallon to two miles/gallon. Thus our organs are running very inefficiently and require much more fuel (fatty acids) to function.

HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK Voltage Drop: Pathogenic Digestive Enzymes Another bad thing that happens has to do with infections. Each of us contains about a trillion “bugs”. These bugs are suppressed as long as oxygen is present. However, as voltage and oxygen drop, the bugs wake up. They want to have lunch and they want to have you for lunch. Since they don’t have teeth to take a bite out of your cells, they release digestive enzymes to dissolve your cells to get the nutrients. As these digestive enzymes dissolve your cells, you have all the signs of disease. These digestive enzymes get into your blood stream and go throughout your body, causing damage at distant places. For example, when you have strept throat, the enzymes go throughout your system causing fever, nausea, muscle pain, headache, etc. They can also go scar your heart valves and your knees. Voltage Drop: Cell Wall Deficient Organisms - L-form bacteria and fungus As voltage and oxygen drop further, the bacteria lose their cell membranes. These cellwall- deficient organisms were described as long ago as the mid 1800’s by Antoine Béchamp in Paris. They have been noted by others (Enderlein, Naessens, Rife, Livingston, etc.) about every fifty years and given different names. The name currently used by most microbiologists is “L-forms”, a name given by the Lister Institute in Paris. Because of the lack of cell membranes, the immune system cannot see them. In addition, they do not cause the usual signs of infection: fever, elevated white blood count, an increase in the percentage of certain white blood cells, etc. In addition, they cannot be cultured unless you add antibiotics to the culture media! Thus most physicians never consider that you have an infection when they are doing their damage. In addition, you cannot kill them with antibiotics (antibiotics make them thrive). You can only kill them by raising the oxygen levels or by using an oxidative therapy (ozone, hydrogen peroxide, chlorine dioxide) or with frequencies. It is my opinion that there is no such thing as an autoimmune disease. Such problems are really just the damage done by these cell-wall-deficient organisms, hiding somewhere in the body and doing damage at distant locations as well as locally. They will be hiding where the voltage is low. When you solve this problem, you will usually see the blood tests for autoimmune diseases go back to normal. HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK When voltage drops to +30 millivolts, cell-wall-deficient fungus shows up. They are always present when cancer occurs. Note that cancer occurs when the polarity changes from electron donor to electron stealer in a specific acupuncture meridian. Whenever voltage drops, these steps always occur: organ malfunction--->chronic pain--->lowered oxygen--->lowered ATP (intracellular voltage)--->infection with cell-walldeficient organisms- -->fungus--->cancer. Note that this whole pathway is dependent upon lack of voltage! Healing is Voltage!

Chronic Disease – The Current Paradigm The current paradigm in medicine in the US says that we must find some chemical (drug) that will remove your symptoms if you are sick. If we can’t find such a chemical, we surgically remove the offending part and throw it away. If that doesn’t work, we have nothing more to offer except pain pills and sedatives. This is called “standard-of-care” medicine. Doctors are required to give “standardof-care” medicine or lose his/her license and be found guilty of malpractice. Even if the doctor knows a better way to treat you, he/she cannot do so under the current medical system. The World Health Organization has published that this “standard-of-care” medicine in the US has the same results as care in Cuba. It ranks 37th in the world!

If you expect your insurance company to pay for your medical care, you will get care that ranks 37th in the world in effectiveness!

A Better Paradigm I suggest that there is a better paradigm. It is based on the fact that our cells are constantly wearing out and must be replaced. We get new cells in the macula of our eyes every two days. The lining of our gut is replaced every three days. The skin is Healing is Voltage – Key Concepts Revision 9/2016

HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK replaced every six weeks and the liver is replaced every eight weeks. Our nervous system is replaced every eight months. The paradigm that I suggest is that: Chronic disease occurs when we lose the ability to make new cells that work! If you believe in this paradigm, you must ask the question, “What does it take to make new cells that work?” Although cells run at -25 millivolts, it takes -50 millivolts to make a new cell. Characteristic of almost all chronic disease is the lack of the voltage necessary to make new cells. Of course we must also have the materials it takes to make new cells and we must deal with any toxins that damage cells as fast as we make them. The voltage in my thumb is -25 millivolts. Now I hit it with a hammer and destroy some cells. My thumb will automatically go to -50 millivolts. When tissue is at -50 millivolts, it dilates the arterial capillaries. This is necessary for the body to provide the materials necessary to make the new cells. Dilated arterial capillaries give all the signs we know as inflammation: • Swelling
 • Warmth
 • Redness
 • Pulsing pain
 • Loss of function

We get busy and make new cells to replace those smashed by the hammer. Then the thumb goes back to -25 millivolts and we are happy. However, there is another possibility. If we didn’t have the -50 millivolts necessary to make new cells, we are stuck in chronic disease. The thumb doesn’t have the voltage to work correctly, it is cold, pale, and has chronic pain. No matter how many pills we take or how much surgery we do, we cannot get well because we don’t have the voltage necessary to make new cells. Note that pain is a symptom of abnormal voltage. If the voltage is high, you get a pulsing pain. If the voltage is low, it hurts all the time. If you correct the voltage (use phosphoric acid like found in a Coke to lower high voltage or baking soda to raise the voltage), the pain will go away but it will come back because you haven’t corrected the Healing is Voltage – Key Concepts Revision 9/2016

HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK reason the voltage was abnormal in the first place. In chronic disease, you must figure out why the battery pack to that organ or tissue can’t hold a charge.

The Human Wiring System Our muscles are piezoelectric. When you exercise, your muscles create electrons. It is derived from the Greek piezo or piezein (πιέζειν), which means to squeeze or press, and electric or electron (ήλεκτρον), which means amber, an ancient source of electric charge. Piezoelectricity was discovered in 1880 by French physicists Jacques and Pierre Curie. Fascia Our muscles are also rechargeable batteries. These batteries are surrounded by a stocking of fibrous material called fascia. Fascia is depicted in the illustration below. Fascia is white and muscles are red.

A semi-conductor is a collection of molecules designed to move electrons from one molecule to another at the speed of light but only in one direction. Thus the fascial system is the wiring system connecting our muscle batteries so that electrons can be supplied to our organs. Every organ has its own battery pack composed of a stack of specific muscles. These stacks of muscle batteries have been known as acupuncture meridians. For example, the following stack of muscle batteries is called the stomach meridian. An atlas of these muscle batteries (acupuncture meridians) is available in my book Healing is Voltage: Acupuncture Muscle Batteries. Notice that this stack of batteries provides voltage to the frontal lobes of brain, the macula of the eye, the cornea and eyelids, the
front of the neck, the breast, the main muscles
of the abdomen, the inguinal area (hernias), the

the

muscles on the front of the legs and the great toes. To keep all of these organs working correctly and able to keep themselves repaired by making new cells, this battery pack must be able to hold a charge. If it cannot, all of these organs are at risk of failure and eventually cancer as voltage drops. When rechargeable batteries lose their charge, they are prone to reversal of their polarity. Damage from cell reversal From Wikipedia Subjecting a discharged cell to a current in the direction which tends to discharge it further, rather than charge it, is called reverse charging. Generally, pushing current through a discharged cell in this way causes undesirable and irreversible chemical reactions to occur, resulting in permanent damage to the cell. Reverse charging can occur under a number of circumstances, the two most common being:

1. When a battery or cell is connected to a
charging circuit the wrong way around.
 2. When a battery made of several cells connected in series is deeply discharged.

HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK slightly different capacities. When one cell reaches discharge level ahead of the rest, the remaining cells will force the current through the discharged cell. This is known as "cell reversal". Cell reversal can occur to a weakly charged cell even before it is fully discharged. If the battery drain current is high enough, the cell's internal resistance can create a resistive voltage drop that is greater than the cell's forward emf. This results in the reversal of the cell's polarity while the current is flowing. The higher the required discharge rate of a battery, the better matched the cells should be, both in the type of cell and state of charge, in order to reduce the chances of cell reversal. Remember that cancer occurs when the polarity of a circuit reverses! When one has chronic symptoms, one must ask the question, “Why can’t the power supply to this symptom retain a charge?” First you must identify which power supplies (acupuncture meridians) are at fault. The following example is helpful. 54 y/o male • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •

Begins to notice increasing fatigue and mental fog over 2-3 years. Increasing inability to deal with stress Insomnia Can’t remember entire phone number when dialing GERD A visit to internist reveals nothing. Spectrocel blood test reveals low level of vitamin B12. Blood test for B12 level confirms low level and platelet count of 43,000 (150,000-350,000). Hematology consultation results in bone marrow test. This reveals active marrow with no malignancy. Started on prednisone, 80 mg/day with no effect on platelet count. Prednisone causes severe weakness in legs and increased GERD. Started on Prilosec. Progresses to overwhelming fatigue and confusion including inability to find way home. Started on Effexor with no improvement in mental confusion. Develops “idiopathic neuropathy” in left foot. Periodic pain in left upper abdomen and aching in left maxillary sinus. Xrays are normal. Develops double vision. Exam by three ophthalmologists cannot determine cause. Worsening of platelet count accompanied by petechiae of feet and ankles. Constipation Postural hypotension Can’t stand loud noises, rowdy crowds, people arguing. EEG reveals evidence of encephalitis.

Told that nothing can be done to reverse syndrome. Measurement of Nakatani Points (peripheral acupuncture meridians) reveals low readings and Indicator Drop in Spleen and Stomach meridians. Application of micro current (biphasic, pulsed, dampened) begins to correct readings as symptoms resolve.

What is the power supply to these symptoms? The spleen and stomach circuit are always paired in the body. The spleen circuit starts in the foot and goes up to the brain where it joins the stomach circuit. The stomach circuit then travels back down to the foot. On their way, they travel through specific teeth. The spleen/stomach circuits go through the upper molars and the lower pre-molars.

This patient was me and this one root canal put me in bed for seven years! Forty-eight hours after I had this root canal pulled, my bleeding disorder was cured (my platelet count went from 30,000 to 150,000) and my brain started to work again! What Causes a Battery Pack to Lose Its Ability to Hold a Charge? When one has a chronic disease, you must look for all the things that can cause the battery pack to those symptoms to be unable to hold a charge. The most common things are: 1. Hypothyroidism (often undiagnosed because of dependence upon TSH test (unreliable). One must correct the Free T-3 test since this is the active form of thyroid hormone.

 3. Dental infection (all root canals are infected because they are dead and all dead tissue left 
in the body gets infected. 
 4. Emotions: emotions are stored in meridians as magnetic fields. They act like a computer 
virus: they such up all the RAM but you don’t know they are there. The magnetic fields of emotions block the movement of electrons in a circuit, lowering the voltage in that circuit. These magnetic emotions can easily be removed with the Tennant BioModulator® in about ten minutes. 


Nutrition In addition to voltage, one must have all the materials to make cells. 1. The inside of most cells is made from amino acids. When you eat a protein, stomach acid 
is supposed to break the proteins in to amino acids. You use those to make new cells. If you don’t have stomach acid, you can’t make new cells that work correctly. 
 2. The inside of nerve cells are made from cholesterol. If you are taking drugs that stop your liver from making cholesterol, you can’t keep your brain maintained! In addition, these statin drugs are only helpful in preventing heart attacks in one person out of 2,000! This is discussed at length in my book Healing is Voltage: The Handbook. 
 3. The outside of cells is made from fats called phospholipids. For the liver to absorb fats, you must have bile. The liver is told to make bile and store it in your gall bladder when stomach acid hits the small intestine. Again, if you don’t have stomach acid, you will be deficient in the fats and fat-soluble vitamins you need. If you are missing your gall bladder, you must take bile with every meal the rest of your life. 
 4. Vitamins and minerals are also necessary and are under control of fulvic acid. Our diets are very deficient in this substance and we must take it as a supplement. 
 5. Water is necessary. Water in our cells is not H2O. It is an electron-donor form of water called H3O2 made when we are exposed to infrared light. This is in constant supply outdoors but is deficient if we stay indoors most of the time. 
 6. Oxygen is very necessary. If you don’t think so, hold your breath! The delivery of oxygen to cells is dependent upon circulation. Circulation is controlled by nitric Healing is Voltage – Key Concepts Revision 9/2016

HEALING IS VOLTAGE HANDBOOK oxide. Everyone past forty is deficient in it. Once it is corrected, you must also have voltage in the cells as the oxygen is held in the cells by voltage 
 I became discontent with having to take twenty capsules of nutrients every morning and my inability to find nutrients that didn’t contain toxic fillers like GMO corn meal and magnesium stearate. I went through the physiology books looking for everything I could find that cells need to work. I then asked a biochemist to put all of these things into a powder that one could use to make a smoothie every day. My instructions were that they could not contain any toxic fillers or other toxic substances and must be pure. She developed a system for me. If you take Restore, Lugol’s Iodine Plus, Raw Materials, DigestRx, and Neo-40 (if you are past forty), you have everything you need to make cells. See the shopping cart on this website. If you have adrenal insufficiency, you will also need to take adrenal support and have your emotional baggage treated. If you have heavy metals like mercury, you will have to take Fulvic 400X for 6-12 months. The point is that we have developed a system that efficiently deals with nutrition making it easier to comply and less expensive since you can use the system as a meal substitute. The thing you will have to do is to stop buying GMO food. To grow GMO food, farmers buy seeds that contain pesticides. As the seeds grow into plants, these plants contain these pesticides. That keeps the insects from destroying the crops but instead you are eating pesticides with every meal. In spite of the FDA declaring they are safe (with almost no testing), the literature is now quite clear that GMO foods are toxic and are killing us. Go to PubMed and search for the many articles about the toxicity of glyphosate. Tennant BioModulator® We have the ability to measure the voltages in the acupuncture muscle batteries with various devices including the Tennant BioModulator. In addition, we can recharge the acupuncture muscle batteries with it. Recharging these batteries requires specific waveforms and frequencies to transfer the electrons to cell membranes. TENS devices block the transmission of nerve impulses so that your brain doesn’t know that your back (or other tissue) hurts. Thus they are much like pain medication. What to Expect at the Clinic Our clinic is designed to work with chronic disease. We are not equipped for acute illness or trauma. We do not accept the role of your primary care doctor and you must apply and become a member of Tennant Institute, a Private Expressive Association by filling out the registration forms on this website. People come to our facility two separate ways. 1. Some come for a few hours for us to put together a protocol that you must follow when you go home. You will have a written list of what you need to do, but some find it overwhelming. 
 2. Others come for 1-3 weeks so that we can work with each deficiency that we find. The latter is obviously more effective and is easier for you. 
 In each situation, we must identify the circuits that have low voltage and figure out why the circuits can’t hold the charge. Thus we measure thyroid function, adrenal function, scars, dental infections, and emotions. We correct stomach acid and digestion. We use the Tennant BioModulator® (a PEMF device with Frequency Selective MicrocurrentTM), PEMF mats, BioTransducer, Low level diodes/lasers, frequency therapies, and chiropractic to recharge the body.
