Halloween Minis – the set of toys from the “AradiyaToys Minis” collection dedicated to the Halloween holiday. These toys are perfect as Halloween decorations. If you use the above-mentioned yarns and a 2.00 mm (US: B, UK: 14) hook, you get a 12.5-cm-tall (4.7-inches-tall) Mrs Witch, 10-cm-tall (4-inches-tall) Mr Frankenstein and Mr Dracula and a 6-cm-tall (2.4-inches-tall) Mr Pumpkin. Useful tips • All amigurumi toys are crocheted with tight stitches. Avoid small holes when stretching the crochet fabric. If there are any holes through which stuffing material can be seen, use a smaller size hook. • To avoid seams, all details are crocheted in a spiral without slip stitch and lifting loops. • There is a chance that you will lose the beginning of the round; to avoid this, use a marker. It can be a colored pin or thread of contrasting color. Pin the marker to the last loop of the round. Every new round must be finished with a loop with the marker in it. • Stuff details of your amigurumi as you go. It is very hard to stuff the detail evenly when it is almost finished. • Always change the color of yarn at the last step of the last stitch of the previous color.

To do so, insert the hook as shown on image 5, take cream yarn (Image 6), pull up a loop (Image 7), make 1ch (Image 8) and crochet 1sc into the same front loop in which we inserted the hook (Image 9). Hold the body upside down and connect black yarn to the remaining front loop of the first stitch of the 10th round, as we did before on page 6. Crochet: 15 rnd sc in each sc around (28) Cut the yarn and finish the round in an invisible way. To make this: pull the end of yarn through the last stitch completely (Image 16), thread the end of yarn into the needle, skip one stitch and guide the yarn into the next stitch as shown on image 17. Insert the needle back in the same hole where the yarn comes from (Image 18). Fasten the obtained stitch (Images 19 and 20) and weave in the end of yarn (Images 21). Mrs Witch – Body Keep holding the body upside down and connect cream yarn to the remaining front loop of the first stitch of the 8th round. Crochet: 16 rnd [4ch (Image 22), skip one front loop, 1slst in the next front loop (Image 22, marked with a pin)] repeat to the end of the round (Image 23). The last slst should be crocheted into the first front loop of the round in which we connected the yarn (Image 24). When you have finished, fasten and weave in the end (Image 25). Again, keep holding the body upside down and connect dark blue yarn to the remaining front loop of the first stitch of the 7th round (Image 26). To do so, turn the hair so that the last round is facing downward and insert the hook into the front loop of the closing stitch as shown on image 30. Mrs Witch – Assembly Place the arms symmetrically on the sides of the body and fasten them with pins (Image 64). Sew the arms with the ends of dark blue yarn, using the loops on the 1st round of the body and the loops on the outer sides of the arms (Image 65).

Scheme for embroidering French knot

On the front part of the dress, embroider the sides of the decorative fasteners with French knots on the sides using cream yarn, as shown on images 66 to 69. The thickness of embroidery yarn should be two times thinner than the main yarn. How to embroider a French knot: Guide the needle to the front side of the body at the extremity of the fasteners. Wrap yarn around the needle counterclockwise 3 times (Image 67) and draw these coils together to the tip of needle. Put the needle close to the starting point, from which the yarn comes (Image 68) and pull the needle through the coils to make a knot.

10.1 Mrs Witch – Assembly To make Mrs Witch look more cute, you can embroider eyelashes near her eyes and cheek blushes under her eyes (Image 70). The thickness of embroidery yarn should be two times thinner than the main yarn. Put the hair on the head so that the closing stitch of the last round is placed on the back center of the head. The thickness of embroidery yarn should be two times thinner than the main yarn. To make Mr Frankenstein look more cute, you can embroider the mouth with thin black yarn (Image 100) and cheek blushes under his eyes (Image 101). Put the hair on the head so that the closing stitch of the last round is placed on the back center of the head. To do so, guide thin black yarn from the point under one of the eyes to the point under the other eye. Bend this yarn as you like, inserting pins alternately above and below the yarn (Image 190). If you like what you see, sew the points where the pins are situated with a new strand of thin black yarn. To do so, guide the thin strand to the point where the pin is situated, yarn over the mouth’s yarn and guide the thin strand to the same hole where it came from. Fasten the obtained stitch (Image 191). Repeat for each point where pins are situated. Cut and weave in the end of yarn.
