Learning activity 3 Evidence: The tennis tournament Imagine you are arranging a trip to nearby city for a tennis tournament next Saturday. You want your best friend to go with you, but, she/he has a very busy schedule and needs to return by Sunday. For this evidence, you will need to complete three parts. For the first part (A), you need to have a look of the information about the tournament. For part B, you have to plan a schedule for the day and write it down. Finally, for part C, you will write an email to your friend persuading her/him to come with you. Let’s begin! Part A Have a look of the Colombia International Tennis Open official website. Then, read the order of play, which is the official schedule for games that has been released by the tournament officials.

Order of play Day 6 – Saturday 10 January Gentlemen's singles – Semifinal 1 Ronald Jankovic (SRB) Center Court V. Max Fender (SUI) starting at 2:00 p.m.

Part B For this part of the evidence, you need to write a schedule for the day in which you consider the following aspects.  Commuting: You live in a different city. Consider the transportation means you will be using for getting to Bogota and register the time you will be arriving. The same instruction applies for considering your return to your home city / town.  Transportation: Consider the time you will be moving from the train station, bus station, or airport, to the Salitre Tennis Center. The same instruction applies your return to the place from which you are departing (airport, train station, etc.).  Food: Consider the times of the day in which you will be having breakfast, lunch and dinner. (You can also include some time for snacks in between games if you wish so).  Games: Based on the order of play and your personal interests, decide which games you will be attending and include those in your schedule.  Accommodation (optional): This applies only if you have considered staying in Bogota and arriving to you home town or city on early Sunday morning. Now, write your schedule. One example has been done for you.

Saturday September 7 Activity Going to the airport. Take off to Bogotá. Going to my mother house where will be stay. She make us a delicious breakfast. Booking an UBER service to go to a mall near to the Salitre Tennis center to buy you a jacket for the Bogota weather. Lunch whatever you want, I invited you. We will have Arrived to the Salitre tennis center to support Manuel Giraldo in his game at court 1. Moving on to the Center Court to watch the Men’s Semifinal We will have supported Jankovic in his game at Center court. Grab an afternoon snack

Hi my dear friend, I always want to assist to an important tennis championship where I can watch top tennis, the tennis that we watched on ESPN, well, in Bogota there is a tournament where the number 2 of the women classement, and I know that you love her, and I will have a surprises for you, you don’t have to worry for food or a place where we can sleep, my mother live there so she is happy to receive us, also I have a great party in the night, I have an apartment to end the night, and I invite to tickets and the lunch and the party by 10:00pm we will have left the event and we will go to the special party where the girl you like will come.
