PROFILE

A M M UN I TI O N & M ETA LLURGY IN DU STR IES GR OU P (AMIG): Ammunition & Metallurgy Industries Group (AMIG) affiliated to Defense Industries Organization (DIO) produces a wide range of ammunition from medium to large caliber based on both western and eastern standards. Having more than seven decades of brilliant background in manufacturing military products, AMIG, has not only met the requirements of local armed forces for many types of conventional ammunition but also been able to apply an active role in international markets. AMIG, comprising of several industrial subsidiaries and utilizing modern technology and advanced machineries together with well qualified experts, is active in manufacturing military and civil products and has achieved receiving types of ISO and other international standards. Apart from manufacturing military and civil products, AMIG is also capable of transferring the production technology and offering engineering services related to any of its products to anywhere any time. AMIG PRODUCTS: Medium Caliber: 12.7x108 mm in different types of ball, Armor piercing and Tracer, Anti Aircraft Ammunition: Including Aircraft and Anti Aircraft 20mm, 23mm, 30mm, 35mm and 100mm in different types of HE, HEIT, APT. The 30mm is also available in two fields; one for BMP2 and the other for naval purposes. Mortar Bombs: In various calibers as 60mm, 81mm and 120mm and in different types of HE, Smoke, Illuminating, Rocket Assisted with normal and enhanced ranges. Tank and Anti Tank Ammunition: From 105mm to 125mm in different types of HE, HEAT, APFSDS and HESH. General Specifications: 100 mm Anti-aircraft ammunition manufactured to counter aerial threats posed by fighters, helicopters. This ammunition is equipped with electronic time fuze enabling it to explode and terminate the target from a close distance even if it fails to hit it directly. This Anti-aircraft gun is a system that can create a missile shield against enemeis aircrafts in medium and low altitudes.

General Specifications: This is an enhanced range Mortar Shell to be used against light material and personnel, resulting both fragmentation and blast effect. The complete round consists of a symmetrical forged C60 steel projectile body, internal solid-fuel rocket motor and HE filling. The filler is 2.15 kg of Composition B and the shell is drop loaded and fired in the usual manner. Once the shell is fired and en route to its target, the rocket motor initiates during the final few seconds of the flight, adding approximately 4 km range over conventional bombs.

General Specifications: This is a fixed round high explosive anti tank ammunition intended for use against armored targets. The ammunition consists of a steel body projectile and a brass case containing the propellant charges. The body contains a funnel shaped copper liner, a PIBD fuze at the bottom, a nose cap retaining piezoelectric element and is loaded with composition B. When the projectile is detonated on impact by fuze functioning, the cone collapses, creating a high velocity shock wave and a jet of metal particles which penetrate the target.

General Specifications: This is another D.I.O separate loading ammunition which is intended for use against armoured targets and fired with 2A46M main gun fitted to T-72 MBT. It is automatically loaded into the breech followed by a semi-combustible cartridge case. The projectile has a steel body encircled by two driving bands and its front, carries a standoff spike inside which is a piezoelectric contact sensor connected by an internal wire to a base-mounted fuze. This ammunition can penetrate 550 mm of Rolled Homogenous Armour (RHA) at normal angle or 273 mm at an angle of 60 deg. to the normal.

General Specifications: The 105 mm Smoke Cartridges are intended for screening and spotting purposes and are provided in two types depending on their filler materials and the process of smoke disposal. One type uses WP to screen and spot with a limited incendiary effect and the other type uses HC or colored smoke material for screening, spotting and signaling purposes. General Specifications: This is an improved type of 130mm HE ammunition which has a different aerodynamic shape to the normal one and is equipped with a gas generating system at its base called as Base Bleed Unit. The generated gas replaces the vacuum created at the rear side of the shell and therefore results reduction of the drag force and consequently a remarkable increasing in the range which is around 37,800 m at 1000 m above sea level for this ammunition.

General Specifications: 155 mm smoke is used to provide screening or marking smoke. It has the same general appearance as the 155 mm High-Explosive (HE) M107 and has the same design features. The shell contains white phosphorus and is normally fitted with a nose-mounted Point-Detonating (PD) fuze. On impact, the fuze ignites the internal buster charge, which then ruptures the shell casing to release WP filling. As it contacts the air, the WP ignites to produce thick clouds of white smoke.

General Specifications: This product is a high quality grenade having both blast and fragmentation effects and designed for use against personnel or material in a close combat. Upgrade - T-55 MBTS

Applying modular power pack as a driven unit of the tank T-55 The concept of modular units has been applied in the process of upgrading the tank T-55 due to the fact that modular units have many advantages over the standard units in the process of maintenance and in case of quick replacement. The modular power pack is an integrated drive unit which consists of the following assemblies and parts shown in figure 1 such as engines, gearboxes, support and other required assemblies and parts. Advantages of applying Modular Power Pack (M.P.P)

• Very fast mounting and dismounting on the tank. • It makes easier and facilitates maintenance and repair of the assemblies and systems.

• Time reduction of combat readiness with replacing new M.P.P in case of every defect or damage in the M.P.P.

Equipping Chieftain MBTS

Chieftain MBT has a primitive fire control system which includes a periscope coaxial with the gun by a mechanical parallelogram. Target and range finding, measuring the ballistic parameters, ballistic calculations and applying them are all done automatically by fire control system EFCS-3 that is substituted for the present fire control system of the tank. Upgraded chieftain MBT is equipped with driver night vision periscope and because of fire control system has a night vision system, so finally this tank is equipped with a night vision system generation II.

The detonating cord PT 165 is specifically developed to cover both encapsulated perforating systems and high shot density perforating systems. MOBILE KITCHEN SYSTEM

General specifications: The mobile kitchen system can be used to prepare food for upto 600 people. This kitchen has the capability of storing food which includes below zero refrigeration facility with a capacity of 200 kilograms meat, chicken, fish, butter, etc. It is also equipped with a pantry with the capacity of storing 2.5 tons of dry foods such as rice, grains and canned food.

Technical specifications: 1- Trailer floorings: this kitchen is equipped with a jumbo streak with the capacity of 24 tons and is 13.5 meters length and 2.6 meters wide. The distance of the floor from the ground is 130 cm and is equipped with two German 12 ton axes. Two double plied tanks with a fuel capacity of 1500 liters and a water storage tank with the capacity of 2000 liters and an 11 kilogram liquid gas capsule box with the capacity of 12 capsules are installed underneath the floors. In addition a sewage system has been integrated on the floor of the trailer. 2- Container: the container consists of a 60KVA generator chamber for below and above zero refrigeration, food storage space, processing and cooking chamber. 3- Fuel Module: every pot (rice, stew, frying pan, rice steamer) is equipped with a fuel module. The above module has been designed based on the cooking capacity of the pots and the calorie requirements and to enable food preparation in the shortest amount of time. This module functions with liquid fuel (oil and gasoli ne) and liquid gas.

MRC-200P DECONTAMINATION POWDER

General Specifications: MRC-200P decontamination powder is used to clean all chemical and biological agents and destroys them. In order to remove pollution from military instruments and equipment surfaces, aircrafts and vessels’ surface, buildings and forces disposition, this decontamination powder is used (Do not use for skin cleaning).

Consumption: Each package should be mixed with 140-180 liter of water by DSM System or non-mechanized manner and spread on the contaminated surfaces.

LIFE PILL

General Specifications: A new phenomenon in the production of food rations. The best nutrition with the least volume and weight. Able to supply enough nutrition for one person for 15 days Stored in room temperature. A complete meal in the form of a pill long lasting. Anti microbial finishing (optional) Flame retardant (optional) Soil /oil/water repellant (optional).

Specifications of the Pill: In the form of 4 gram pills that contain all the vital nutrients like fat, protein and carbohydrates in addition to all the necessary vitamins and mineral s (in compliance with the daily nutrition program of FDA). Each pill produces 20 kilo calories. The intake of 12 pills a day will provide the body with enough energy to survive. The pills are chewable and can be taken without water; they are also available in different flavors like chocolate, orange, vanilla and fruit.

General Specifications: In emergency situations, during crises, when there is no access to food at all, during unexpected incidents and especially for military men and soldiers, pilots, athletes and mountaineers. In this regard, the strategy of D.I.O is always based on optimization of the golden triangle of projects i.e. Quality, Time and Cost. Concerning military projects, the long experience of operating production lines with wide range of products and applying active interaction with world famous technologies owners as well as research and optimization on production plants, has enabled the Organization to transfer the technology to foreign countries. On civil products and projects, DIO has extensive facilities and impressive records in mass production projects, dam construction, road construction, and manufacturing special equipments for oil, gas and petrochemical industry such as compressed vessels, heat exchangers and big compressors. Industrial valves, airplane tires, CNG cylinders and kit parts, alloy steels of metallurgy and casting industries, types of high tonnages in steel structures , cement factories, production units of industrial oils additives, chemical industries plants such as large plants of sulfuric acid, nitric acid, ethanol, pesticides, etc, are other fields of DIO activities. Executive method of DIO for transferring technology is based on project management standard with consideration of the latest improvement made on customer contracted production lines. This proposal consists of three separate sections including Technical section, Commercial section and Time schedule. They are so adjusted that the customer can easily realize what services, at what cost and when it shall be delivered. - Definition of deliverable services in DIO. TT contracts are based on standard models so that all characteristics of a suitable technology are met for the buyer.

- In the engineering phase, the Document Register of the project will be prepared and delivered to the buyer, firstly so that his comments on the types and quality of design documents can be considered. Designing is done in two phases as Basic and Detailed and the manuals for commissioning, utilization and quality control are also provided in engineering phase. - In the procurement phase, the sources are selected from an Approved Vendor List, their documents are examined carefully, authenticated and all manufacturing stages will be under supervision and monitoring and finally each equipment is taken together with relevant Final Book. - In addition to theoretical training, the practical one in similar factory will also be provided so that the buyer's experts are well prepared for operating the production line. - Provisional and final commissioning is effected under DIO supervision and after performance test, the production line is delivered to the buyer. The warranty period services will be defined and given as per contract conditions after commissioning. - The main strategy of DIO in TT contracts is to keep credibility and good reputation through enhancement of customers' satisfaction level.
