"The most beloved of the people to Allah are the most beneficial for the people. The most beloved of actions to Allah are to cause happiness to reach a Muslim, to relieve him from a hardship, to settle a debt for a Muslim or to repel hunger from him. For me to walk with a brother in order to assist him is more beloved to me than to make ‘Itikaf in this Masjid for a month."

[al-Mu jam al-Awsat]
Reflection Don't despair if you don't have time to pray taraweeh all night. A simple of act of helping out a brother or sister in need is more highly regarded by the Prophet PBUH than secluding yourself in worship for an entire month in the holy mosque of Madinah.

Aisha radhiya Allahu `anha, that she said: “O Messenger of Allah! What if I knew which night Lailatul-Qadr was, then what should I say in it?” He said.- “Say:
Allahumma innaka ‘affuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee O Allah You are The One Who pardons greatly, and loves to pardon, so pardon me.” AlTirmidhi Waiting around? Walking to the bus stop? Sitting in the car? A few minutes left until iftaar? Try to fill these spare moments with Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah):

“Verily, people will be in prayer as one, yet the difference between them is like that between the heavens and earth. A man may be reverent and facing forward in his prayer, yet another is unmindful and neglectful.” [Hadith
Ḥilyat al-Awliyā’]
Practical Tip Focus on the quality, not quantity, of your prayers this Ramadan. Set aside a special, secluded place in your house for Salah, strive to understand what you recite and alternate between different chapters of the Quran.
Day 27
Theme - The Night of Decree

The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. In it the angels and the Spirit descend, by the leave of their Lord, with every command. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.
Practical Tip Plan a regular act of worship in the last ten nights and you will inshAllah guarantee the rewards of 83 years of good deeds. Something simple: donate a
£1 every night to a good cause,
commit to two rakah's of qiyaam after Isha, make a sincere duaa to Allah everytime you break your fast.
D a y 2 8 Theme - Renew Your Faith

Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Renew your faith.” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, how can we renew our faith?” The Prophet said, “Say "La illah illa Allah" (There is no God but Allah) often.” [Hadith Musnad Ahmad]
Practical Tip Renew your intentions throughout the month of Ramadan. In the same way that a great deed can be made worthless in the absence of a good intention, the smallest of actions can be magnified into something huge.
Day 29
Theme - Patience and Perseverance

O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
Do not underestimate the power of prayer. Pour your heart out to Allah in your duaa and as you fast and study, remember that with every hardship comes ease Allah has equipped you with what you need to succeed both academically and spiritually. You can handle it!

Day 30
Theme - End on a High Note
َ ِ ِ ِإ َ ا َٔ ْ َ ُل ِ َ َ ا "Verily, deeds are by their final actions"
[Hadith Bukhari]
As the month draws to a close, give thanks to Allah for allowing you to witness another Ramadan. End the month in humility - make Tawbah for the deficiencies of your actions. Finally, make a sincere intention to change for the better and to continue the habits you started in Ramadan.
Eid Mubarak!
