How I teach phonics I teach each sound in order and then usually have a carousel of activities for the children to then independently access. All of the activities relate to the sound that has been taught, or focuses on High Frequency Words if the children need more support with that. This pack has printables to help with letter formation, and then lots of hands on interactive games to ensure that children have lots of practise using the sounds that they have learnt, as well as seeing the letters in many different forms of print. This would also work perfect in a literacy center or as part of a writing table that the children independently access. I highly recommend the Ruth Miskin Phonics Flashcards to assist with the teaching of the sounds. I am in no way endorsed by Ruth Miskin, her cards are just fabulous! The formation phrases correspond with these cards.
