2. Installation 2.1 Unpacking and Inspection Check the contents of the accessories according to the packing list. 2.2 Choosing a location 1. Place the instrument on a solid, level worktable. 2. Grounded electrical outlet 3. Away from direct sunlight 4. Room temperature between 5℃ and 40℃ 5. Maximum relative humidity of 80% 6. Ample room to allow air to circulate freely around the unit 7. Be away from strong electromagnetic fields, such as those created by electric motors and X-ray equipment. 3

Press the “open” button, open the cover. 2. Insert new paper to paper entrance; thermal side faces heat sensor head. 3. Pull the paper when it appears on another side,. 4. Make the paper output from paper exit. 5. Close cover. 2.4 Power Connection Make sure the switch is power off (0) on rear panel, inset the power cable plug into power socket, and connect another side to grounding power output socket. 2.5 Plate localization adjustment Because different plates have some differences in size; user can adjust the spring bolt on working table to fix plate: a) Install the plate on working table. b) Push the working table into instrument lightly to leave space for adjustment. c) Use the bolt driver to adjust two spring bolts at same size. Tightness: Plate will not shake when rocking; plate can put into working table easily and spring bolt doesn doesn’’t make noise when pressing plate.

URIT Medical Electronic Group Co., Ltd. 3. Operation Instructions 3.1 Start up Instrument will initialize after power on. Then the system will connect the PC automatically. Click “cancel”, and display will show the main menu.

If user doesn’t touch any parts on the touch display, instrument will close the light of LCD automatically to save power; user can continue to operate by clicking any part of LCD. Please operate it with special touch pen attached by URIT-660 microplate reader, do not use accurate or hard materials (such as metal, glass etc.) to touch screen surface to avoid damage. 5

URIT Medical Electronic Group Co., Ltd. 3.2 Sample Testing Press “Sample Testing”, the display shows as below:

User can set up the plate direction, move mode, and shake parameters in this window. Press “OK”, enter into plate setting window.

After selecting the program, click the little box on the screen. The box represents the well on the plate. There will be a number in the little box. If you modify sample No., please click that well again, enter the number in pop up window, max number is 999. If user wants delete marks, press “Del”, then clicks the numbers to delete, and reset them. Press”Auto”, the system can mark the plate automatically according to your setting. Press “Clear” will clear all the marks.Press “Start”, system will test the plate. If any faults occur, system will pop up windows to warning. Press “stop” to quit, return to plate setting window, tray reset automatically. 6

3.3 Program Setting All programs of URIT-660 microplate reader can be set by user, max program number is 16. All set programs listing in windows, it will be saved automatically when power off. Program setting window has following limits: 1) Program No. from 1 to 5 can be edited, but can not delete, mostly using for hepatitis B testing. 2 ) Wavelength about No.1 to No.5 should keep the same and take dual wavelength (generally, primary wavelength takes 450nm, reference wavelength takes 630nm.) 3) No.1 to No. 5, calculation mode must take Cut-Off mode.

Select the QC program in listing, then select QC method, enter QC number, press “OK” to store. Press “QC Inquiry” into inquiry window. Select program want to inquire, and select month from month listing, press “OK” to get the result. 3.5 Report Management

All tested samples are stored and listed according to test time. User can edit, delete or view the repot by pressing the bottom on the right side of the menu.

1) Date and time: Please setting according to standard time, illegal date or time is invalidation. 2) Printer : This instrument equipped internal heat sensor specially, which is shown as Figure 8-1. 3) Sound switching: Setting about turn on or off the buzz. Sound switching on, every warning will be sounded, or not. 4) Touch panel calibration : Touch panel and pen is the entering way for URIT-660., touch screen takes resistance circuit, in some changeable external environment(temperature), touch screen may have slight excursion(click position is coincide with arrow), which may cause result error. At this time user should mark touch screen again. Press “Touch screen calibration” to enter windows. 3.7 Power off a) Press “Power off” in the main menu, select “OK”, screen will display “Thank you for using, Please turn off!” At this time, turn off the power switch on the rear panel of instrument. b) If you don’t want to turn off the instrument, select “cancel “, instrument will return to the main menu.

4. Maintenance 4.1 Daily maintenance 4.1.1 Routine maintenance 1) To keep instrument’s constant stability and accuracy, user should avoid any parts that may affect optics system. Wrong adjust of will affect test result. 2) Keep the cleanness of optics system to ensure normal function and exact result. Avoid any liquid flow into inside at the same time dustproof. Do not touch lens’ surface, filter and optical electric tester by finger. 9

URIT Medical Electronic Group Co., Ltd. 4.1.2 Routine cleaning 1) Turn the instrument off, pull out power plug. 2) Use one-time use glove and duster cloth which dipping water or soft eradicator to clean instrument’s surface, rail and flat rack. Caution: Organic solvent with strong corrosive acid, alkali and volatility such as acetone, ethoxyethane, chloroform to clean instrument’s surface is forbidden. User can only use neutral scour to clean.

4.2 Annually maintenance Annually maintenance is necessary to keep good working condition and prolong using life. Because of high maintenance requirements, this work should be done by engineer licensed by Urit, please contact with service department before maintenance.

4.3 Maintenance for a prolonged period of non-use or for transportation Due to various reasons, if instrument are not used or need to transport over 3 months, users should operate according to the following process: a) Storing and keeping the rest reagent according to relative specification. User should establish effective storing measure to avoid deteriorate, misusage, eat. Storing environment of reagent should avoid temperature extreme. b) Draw out the power cable, clean it and pack it with plastic bag. c) Packing the instrument with plastic bag and put it into packing box

Troubleshooting 5.Troubleshooting 5.1 Display shows nothing ① First check the lamp whether work or not. If the lamp work, it won’t be the problems of power, fuse and power cord. If not, check the power, fuse and power cord. ②If above all are normal, that should be the problems of inner connection. Open the cover and check the voltage of power output in the power board, especially the power output of the main board and display. If they are abnormal, fix or change the power board. If power outputs are normal, may be the problem of the display. 5.2 Incorrect results or no results ①Check the lamp to see if it’s still working. If the lamp works, check the voltage of data acquisition board. Adjust the board if the voltage is not right. After adjusting the board, change the data acquisition board when it still has problem. ②Lamp doesn’t work. User should check the filament whether it break or not. If the lamp is good, check the power, change the power board if necessary. ③Change the lamp if it is bad.

URIT Medical Electronic Group Co., Ltd. 5.3 Display normal, but keyboard no reaction ①Change the keyboard and try again, if it’s normal that should be the problem of the keyboard. ②It’s no reaction after changing the keypad. Maybe it’s the problem of the keyboard display interface or main board. 5.4 There is a lot of noise when run a test ①Maybe it’s the problem of the send sampler drive motor. Open the cover; watch the movement of the send sampler. If the send sampler goes straight without pause after pressing “run”, that may be the problem of the interface of main board motor or detection board. Send sampler hitting baffle spacing makes the noise. ② Maybe it’s the problem of the light source motor. If the source components are loose, install them again. 5.5 Printer doesn doesn’’t work ①Check the setting whether select the external printer. ②The printer is bad. ③The main board is bad. ④The cord is bad.

6. System Instruction 6.1 Electric circuit a) Switching mode power supply (SMPS)

To judge a switching mode power supply whether good or not, the best way is that disconnect the SMPS and main board, input 220VAC only, use the multimeter to test whether have the outputs of +5VDC, +12VDC and +24VDC.

If you find out that the display is not very clear, please adjust the potentiometer
