Christine Lindop was born in New Zealand and taught English in France and Spain before settling in Great Britain. She has written or adapted more than thirty books, including The Turn of the Screw and Green Planet in the Dominoes series. In her free time she likes reading, watching films, and making mosaic. She is not a skateboarder, but she likes watching the action at her local skatepark, and her favourite sports are rugby and Formula One.
