The great fire of London (El gran incendio de Londres)

Chapter 1

is the year 1666. It London is an old city with lots of narrows streets. Es el año 1666. Londres es una ciudad antigua con muchas calles estrechas.

A lot of people are ill because there are rats in all the streets and the houses. Mucha gente está enferma porque hay ratas en todas las calles y en las casas.

One evening, a Baker, Thomas farriner, and his daughter, Harriet, are making bread. Una noche, un panadero, Thomas Farriner y su hija Harriet están haciendo pan.

Its is late. `We must work quickly, ´ Says Thomas. We need this bread for the King in the morning. Es tarde `Debemos trabajar rápidamente ', dice Thomas. Necesitamos este pan para el rey en la mañana.

Pepys and Moore arrive at the river. Crowds of people are running down to the river bank. The fire is now in the next Street. Pepys y Moore llegan al río. Multitudes de personas están corriendo hacia la orilla del río. El fuego está ahora en la siguiente calle.
