THE COLDEST PLACE ON EARTH (SUMMARY) The June 1, 1910, in London, a black ship, the Terra Nova, sailed to the South Pole, their captain was Robert Falcon Scott and his crew between Oates was. On June 6, another ship sailed, it was headed North Pole is called Fram and this would Roald Amundsen and his friends. To spend a few days the crew of the Fram decided to compete with the Terra Nova and arrive first to the South Pole, it became a race between the British and English. The crew of Amuldsen had with more advantages than Scott. Unfortunately most of the crew of the Newfoundland died on the journey but the Fram could survive.
