POWER FACTOR CONTROLLER PFR-X/PFR-M

The power factor controllers of the PFR range calculate the active and reactive power in the mains from the measured current and voltage. They also determine if power is being imported or exported. The controllers identify the output of the capacitor stages installed and connect or disconnect them in the optimum manner as required by the actual mains conditions. The controllers consider the frequency of changes in the reactive load and follow the principle of rotational switching. The integrated digital display can show the actual power factor, the mains frequency, the actual tariff, the programmed target power factor, the con-

nected steps. This makes general and specific monitoring of the capacitor bank and its operating conditions possible. In addition to that, PFR-M offers additional information such as detailed information on harmonics, THD, operating temperatures, kWh, kvarh. It also offers the option of operation in two different tariff modes, as well as an optional RS485 modbus, and/or internal data logger. The PFR power factor controller is ready for operation on preset default functions immediately after installation without any modifications or adjustments.
