A Tour of London Let’s see one of the most famous cities in the world: London. Read this brochure and visit it!

London is the capital and the largest city in the United Kingdom. It is located on the River Thames. The Romans founded it almost 200 years ago. London is famous for its museums, performing arts, and its historical places. This is a list of places that you can visit:

The Tower of London: It is an ancient fortress in London. It was a royal residence in the Middle Ages and later became a prison for illustrious people like Anne Boleyn and Queen Elizabeth I (when she was a princess). Today, you can see the Crown Jewels.

We have Madame Tussaud’s Museum. Madame Tussaud was a French lady who oponed it in 1835. She made historical figures in wax. It is really amazing!

Buckingham Palace: The Duke of Buckingham built this palace in 1703. Queen Victoria made it the official residence of the monarch. It has about 600 rooms.

The Houses of Parliament. Charles Barry built this new building from 1840 to 1860. It is the place of the British legislature. Here you can see the Clock Tower which contains the famous Big Ben. Of course, there are many other places to see in London.
