Feel the innovation

ClSA ha s been manufacturing an d sellin~ ste rilization systems for over 60 years for both hospital s and industrial application, covering all sterilization needs. CISA is an Industrial Group whic h manufactures industria l machinery and integrated technological production systems with factories in different continents and its headquarters in Italy. C1SA offers capillary distribution and technical assistance both in Italy and overseas that allows it to guarantee constant presence and a complete service in all the countries in w hich it operates. Coordination of distri butors and tech nical service centres are hand led t hrough t he CISA branches , companies and scientific offices located in Joinville (Brasi l) for Brasil, in Amman (Jordan) for Middle East, in Miami (Usa) for North and Latin America (with offi ces in Colombia and Venezuela), in Tun is (Tunisia) for Africa, in Singapore for Asia, in New Delhi for India, in Shimkent (Kazakhstan) for Central Asia and Vire ux Molhain for Fra nce. Besides C1 SA has special setups in Russia, Germany and UK. CISA headquarter for t he rest of the world is in Pomezia (Rom e). Th e entire production is made in the plants of Joinville for t he South Ame rican market and in Pomezia for the rest of t he world.

COMPANY RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT

(ISA offers a complete, up-to -date servi ce, des igned and planned for a field of ap

plication that is in continuous evolution: that of machines, systems and technology

for scrubbing, disinfecting and sterilizing.

Close and continuous co llaboration with un iversity research laboratories enables

the company to Incorporate the latest and most advanced theories on germ elimi

nation in its mach inery and eq uipment.

Thanks to the org anization of its techn ica l department, with operating units for re

search & development and eng ineering, ( ISA is able to develop new products, test

them in its own laboratory and fin e-tune thei r operation before proposing them to

the market.

Its contin uous investments in research and development have enabled (ISA to

achieve success through innovative solutions in design, construction, installation of

its products and process contro l t ech nologies, for unrivalled quality and reliability.

Perfect cleaning combined with a high level of disinfection ensure the effectiveness of a process of sterilization in order to eliminate the risks deriving from the use of medical devices on the human body. Every machine produced by C1SA is designed with the same philosophy: ease of use and maintenance, safety and reliability. To ensure a constant level of quality the company has developed a quality control system based on all the experience acquired in its many years of activity in Italy and abroad. C1SA is certified in accordance to UNI EN ISO 9001 :2000 and UN I EN ISO 13485:2004 quality system as well as the"CE" certificate of conformity based on the Directive for Medica l Devices n° 93/42/CEE issued byTUV Sud. CISA also holds the "CE" certificate for the construction of pressure vessels according to Directive n° 97123/CEE with the PED procedure, also issued by TUV Italy. All C1SA products are constructed and certifiable In conformity with the prescriptio ns of the European standards in use. The equipment designed for the pharmaceutical sector complies with the requisites of the applicable European Directives.

CISA machines are designed in accordance with the most soph isticated methods of safety control, taking into account, risk analysis, the type of use, the class of equipment (lIa) and thus of the necessary operator protection, the product and t he environment. For every part, according to the principle of re dundancy and t hus of safety, an extra back-up is always available and can intervene automati cally in case of ma lfunction ofthe first. Every unit is fully inspected by programmable logic system s that serve to manage the cycles, control the parameters and verify the safety of t he process. Validation process

Two Programmable Logic Controls dialogue to ensure the maximum safety of the process. While one PLC controls machine operations, t he second performs a con stant control function with in spection and registration. This makes it possible to con firm t he regular performance of the processing cycle, freeing t he operator of the risk of individual . eva luation. Stainless steel intern al piping

All equipment is provided with a system of self diagnostics and routine maintenance monitoring; they are designed for remote maintenance, remote supervision and a man agement system for the sterilized materials. In addltion, the devices have been tested for electromagnetic compatibility and are equipped with network filters. In the design of t he mechanica l parts, specia l expedients have been developed to ensure maximum hygiene, facil itate the cl eaning of surfaces, pipes made easily drainable and pre ve nt th e formation of deposits. The choice of commercial components and their arra ngement inside the machinery have al so been planned with t he same criteria.

High capacity shorr delivery for srandard equipment

elSA operates in a very important field that is in continuous development. For this reason it has concentrated

on a line of products that includes: infection control solutions, machinery for disinfecting, machinery for ster

ilization and software systems for management and control.

All the products in the different lines are "made in elSA" from design to manufacture.

The operating technology used: steam, plasma, peracetic acid, superheated water, formaldheyde, ethylene

oxyde, hot air, and air-steam mixtures, to cover all the market needs.

All the equipment can be built to function with steam coming directly from the mains supply line or electrically

by means of heating elements, or with steam produced by a heat exchanger supplied with industrial steam or

a combination of both Plasma generation technology, unique, with safe and powerful generators.

eiSA's leadership position on the market enables it to produce enough volume to justify mass production of

every model. The repetition ofthe operations of assembly and the industrialization of the production process

also ensure a favorable cost/benefit ratio.

The high technological content of e lSA products is t he direct result of research that focuses in the machine construction fea t ures, t hrou gh the selection of materials, components and technical solutions that guarantee safe operation in every stage of the cycle and excellent product life. All the parts used for th e constructio n of t he equi pment are rea dily available all over the world. elSA uses only compone nts prod uced by multinational compan ies with a worldwide network of distribution and techni ca l service. The operating cycles and prod uctio n processes are designed in such a way as to make the mechanical parts even more resistant and long-lastin g, and to guarantee absolute reliability In any situation. The use of special steel with titanium and extra t hickness is one of the features of the (ISA design to obtain a level of resistance that is superior with respect to normal use.

lOW OPERATING COST I ENERG Y SAVING

All ClSA machines are designed with particu lar attention to energy savings, all the insulating materials are therefore of the finest quality and of extra thickness. Specific technical solutions allows to redLlCe water and power consumption during the performance of the processing cycles. Every unit that is on but not actively engaged in a processing cycle is automatically switched over to stand-by 50 as to reduce consumption considerably. The machine5can beautomated tooptimrzeworkshifts. SWitching on, warm-up, test runs and switching off are al l operations that can be performed automatically. PLANNING AND REALIZATION OF CENTRAL STERILIZATION The problem of contam ination in hospitals is im portant and complex. CISA offers complete design of Central Steril ization Supply Department with work flow, equipment and accessori es using its own "system" with guidelines developed to reduce the microbe load progressi ve ly an d lower th e risk of contamination up to final sterilization. CISA sterilization centers are custom designed acco unting for the dimensions and configuration of the hospital: number of beds, t ype of specializations, number of operating rooms, number of operations per day, nu mber of intensive care beds and selection of the quantities of materials in stoc k and consumables. CISA supplies furnitures and accessories of the equipments to complete the CSSD following the "ClSA System" continously in evol uti on and according the collabo ration with the sterilization wo rl d. The "CISA System" is versatile and able to interact w ith many types of packin9 and management of the sterile supplies. The automation can increase the productivity and the efficiency of the CSSD. The material s are sha red in two main furnishing lines with different qualit ies: infact it is possible to choose th e "Stainless steel Line" and the "(orion Line".
