Finished Measurements: height (from head to toe): 18cm Materials: white and black yarn (e.g. 100% Cotton, 90m= 98yards per 50g) 3.5mm crochet hook polyester stuffing yarn for embroidery (black, pink, dark grey) and 2 small dark grey buttons

Kitty Head: In white. Ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. Rd 1: 2sc in every sc = 12sc Rd 2: 2sc in every 2nd sc = 18sc Rd 3: 2sc in every 3rd sc = 24sc Rd 4: 2sc in every 4th sc = 30sc Rd 5: 2sc in every 5th sc = 36sc Rds 6-8: sc Rd 9: dec every 6th sc = 30sc Rd 10: dec every 5th sc = 24sc Rd 11: dec every 4th sc = 18sc Rd 12: dec every 3rd sc = 12sc Rd 13: dec every 2nd sc = 6sc Break yarn and close hole.

Kitty Ears: In white. Ch2, 4sc in 2nd ch from hook. Rd 1: 2sc in 1st and 2nd sc = 6sc Rd 2: 2sc in 1st and 3rd sc = 8sc Rd 3: 2sc in 1st and 4th sc = 10sc Sew ears to head. Embroider face.

Body: In black. Ch2, 6sc in 2nd chain from hook. Rd 1: 2sc in every sc (= 12sc) Rd 2: 2sc in every 2nd sc (= 18sc) Rd 3: 2sc in every 3rd sc (= 24sc) Rds 4-6: sc Rd 7: dec every 6th sc (= 20sc) Rd 8: sc Rd 9: dec every 5th sc (= 16sc) Rd 10: dec every 4th sc (= 12sc) Rd 11: dec every 3rd sc (= 8sc) Break yarn, leave longtail for sewing. Sew head on top of body.

Bear Head Hood: In white. Ch2, 8sc in 2nd chain from hook. Rd 1: 2sc in every sc (= 16sc) Rd 2: 2sc in every 2nd sc (= 24sc) Rd 3: 2sc in every 4th sc (= 30sc) Rd 4: 2sc in every 5th sc (= 36sc) Rds 5-10: sc Break yarn, sew hood over the first 8sts of last rd to upper back of body.

Bear Ears: In black. Row 1: Ch2, work 5sc in 2nd ch from hook, ch1, turn Row 2: 2sc in 1st / 3rd / 5th sc = 8sc Row 3: reverse sc Leave longtail, break yarn, sew ears to head.

Bear Eyes: In black. Ch 3+1. Work 3sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in next ch, 5sc in last ch, turn piece and work in other half of sc: 1sc, close rd with 1sl st in first sc. Sew patches on head and buttons for eyes on them. Embroider nose and mouth.

Arms: One arm in white, one arm in black. Ch2, 6sc in 2nd ch from hook. Rd 1: 2sc in every sc = 12sc Rds 2-3: sc Rd 4: 10sc, cr2tog = 11sc Rd 5: 9sc, cr2tog = 10sc Rd 6: 8sc, cr2tog = 9sc Rd 7: 7sc, cr2tog = 8sc Rds 8-11: sc Sew arms to body.

Tail: In white. Ch2, 4sc in 2nd ch from hook. Rd 1: 2sc in 1st and 2nd sc = 6sc Rd 2: 2sc in 1st and 3rd sc = 8sc Stuff tail and sew it to back of kitty.

Soles: One in white, one in black. Ch 4+1. 5sc in 2nd ch from hook, 1sc in next ch, 1hdc in next ch, 7hdc in last ch, turn work and crochet in other half of ch: 1hdc in next ch, 1sc in next ch, close rd with sl st (= 16sts). Break yarn.

Feet and Legs: Attach yarn (white yarn to black sole and black yarn to white sole) in sl st of sole (your first sc of sole) and work around sole. It's important to attach yarn in exactly the sl st, otherwhise the following stitch counting won't match. Rds 1-2: sc Rd 3: 8sc, cr2tog, dcr3tog, cr2tog, 1sc (= 12sc) Rd 4: 9sc, cr2tog, 1sc (= 11sc) Rds 5-6: sc Rd 7: 8sc, cr2tog, 1sc (= 10sc) Rds 8-9: sc Rd 10: 3sc, cr2tog, 3sc, cr2tog (= 8sc) Break yarn, leave longtail, sew legs to body. With dark grey yarn embroider claws on paws.
