Rome, 3rd century AD You walk towards the entrance to a cavern, two torch-bearers either side of you. Carved into the rock, are two figures representing the sun and the moon. To the left stands Sol, pointing down, and to the right Luna points upward. A solar orb sits above the Sol's head and a crescent above the moon. As you enter the dark confines of the cavern, the torches cast odd shadows upon the cavern walls. They remind you of devils, sent from the underworld to torture and torment. Leaving such thoughts behind, you reach your destination an underground temple. Flaming torches illuminate the temple. You see on its walls a "zodiac wheel,” on which the 12 signs of the zodiac are depicted. Center-piece of the temple is a white marble representation of a man kneeling on a bull, holding it by the horns with his left hand, and stabbing it with his right. As he does so, a dog and snake reach up to taste the blood, and an angry scorpion seizes the bull's genitals. The man on the bull is dressed in a toga, and is looking towards you.

From behind the temple's center-piece, an elderly man appears and approaches you. He explains the symbolism of what you have seen. Your initiation into the secret "mysteries of Mithras" has begun. The Esoteric Power of the Sun The Ancient Masters saw within the sun a spiritual reality that could be used to enhance their affirmations, and manifest their desires. They saw around it a ring of energy that they could draw on with the power of mind. It was knowledge of this subtle psychic energy that led to the sun being worshipped as a god. The supreme god of the ancient Egyptians was Ra, a God of the Sun. Sun worship became a religion that spread across the ancient world. One such religion was "the mysteries of Mithras," which was first practiced in the 1st century AD. The cult was strictly for men only and became popular among the military of the Roman Empire. Followers of Mithraism met in underground temples and had a system of seven levels of graded initiation, complete with ritual meals. There is no god in the western pantheon more controversial than Mithras. He was controversial 2000 years ago, and is still so today. For no two occultists can agree if Mithras represents the sun, or is a separate entity. Mutual agreement cannot even be reached on his name; some say it is Mithras, while others claim it to be Mithra. In the context of this work, Mithras is the spirit essence of the sun. Now, I am not advocating the practice of sun worship (well, maybe a bit). But I do want to make you aware of an intelligent energy that responds to the name: Mithras. Sol Invictus In scientific terms, the sun is located at the center of our solar system (approximately 93 million miles from the Earth) and, at 418,000 miles in diameter, is the largest body in the system. The sun is composed of 74% hydrogen and 24% helium, and has three layers: the photosphere, the chronosphere, and the corona. On a more esoteric level, the ancients saw the sun as the source of all good things. The sun provided light and warmth. They also sensed its creative energy that could influence events on Earth, and could be appealed to in times of misfortune. When the sun was eclipsed by the moon, it was considered a bad omen. In astrology each of the zodiac planets plus the sun and the moon has a specific symbol that represents the characteristics of each celestial body. The symbol of the sun is a dot at the center of a circle. This represents the invisible energy that surrounds the sun. The sun has a role to play in fortune-telling, too. The first 22 cards of a Tarot deck are known as the major arcana. The 19th card is The Sun. It denotes life, vitality, progress and growth. Sol invictus, unconquered sun, power center of our solar system. The Days and Rites of Mithras Little is known about the rites of the cult of Mithras. I have received information in my meditations that tell me that the rites revealed in this book possess the essence of those ancient rites. You may begin your Mithraic Rituals on the first day of the second half of the month, and the first month of the second half of the year: The 16th day of January.

The 16th day of February. The 16th day of March. The 16th day of April. The 16th day of May. The 16th day of June. The 16th day of August. The 16th day of September. The 16th day of October. The 16th day of November. The 16th day of December. These are the days which are sacred to Mithras. Repeat the ritual daily until end of month. If proper results are not obtained wait until the 16th day of the following month, and begin again. During these rites, incidentally, it is not advisable to smoke, drink or eat. Also, no alcoholic beverage or drug should be taken for at least two hours before a ritual is started. If it is convenient, loose clothing should be worn After you have worked your magic, eat a small bread roll and drink a glass of spring water in honor of the "Water Miracle" in which Mithras fired a bolt into a rock, and from the rock came forth water. The Golden Blessings of Mithras To receive the radiance of the Golden Blessing is the greatest of all gifts but it will depend on how worthy you are to receive it. Once the seeds of light have been planted in your soul things will start to change for you. Your luck will change from bad to good, and you'll begin to win fabulous prizes. You will attract money from unknown and unexpected sources. You will increase your income. And your wishes will be granted. Yes, you can have your every wish granted. You will create a solar image of what you want and have it manifest in your life. Whenever you want to bring something good into your life, you will have the power to bring it to you.

The Call to Mithras Stand, either outside or at a window, with the sunlight shining on your face. Close your eyes and turn your face toward the sun. Say: "Homage to Mithras of wide pastures, "Whose word is true, Who has a thousand ears, "Who has ten thousand eyes, the exalted one, "Who has knowledge, the helpful one, "Who sleeps not, the ever wakeful. "Mithras, lord of all countries, the most glorious, "Hear my call." Spend a few moments considering the true meaning of those words, and think about how Mithras' presence in your life would benefit you. Take a few minutes, each day, to recite the affirmation. After a few days you will feel an inner radiance starting to permeate your entire being. This "inner glow" is the Golden Blessing of Mithras. Uniting With the Spirit Essence Move to a comfortable chair, sit down and relax with your eyes closed. See, in your mind, the dynamic power at the center of our planetary system: the magnificent, beautiful, awesome sun. Sense its invisible, creative energy. And feel its loving warmth surround you. With your eyes still closed, imagine a tiny point of glowing light sweeping down from the center of the sun. Feel it enter the top of your head, and slowly center it in the middle of your head. According to the ancients, the unity of life and consciousness is symbolized by a central light that dwells between the eyes. The glowing light that you see in your mind's eye is that unity.

You and the Mithraic Mirror You can start right now using this psychic aspect of your mind to have anything you wish come to you. With the Mithraic Mirror, you can have it all now. What is the Mithraic Mirror you may ask. It is, in effect, a mental video screen onto which you project your desire in crystal clear clarity. When you want to bring something wonderful and fulfilling into your life, always image it in exact detail. In this way, it will manifest in your life. If you image it as something nebulous, that is how it will always remain intangible. It will never quite come to you. Mithraic Creation Rite You have now spoken the Call to Mithras, drawn in his essence and centered it in the middle of your head. See it become a pulsating orb of limitless power. With eyes closed, visualize an ornate hand-mirror before your mind's eye. This is your Mithraic Mirror, on which you will now project what you wish to have appear in your life. Whatever you see reflected in the mirror will become a

reality. See it as clearly as you can. You are now ready to put the creative process into motion. Give thanks to Mithras for his help, and you release the dynamic solar energy that you have centered in your mind. This will make your desire a reality. Say: "I give thanks to Mithras, (wish) is now mine." Remove the image from your mind and open your eyes. Your wish will soon be granted. The Mysteries of Mithras Can Enrich Your Life The Mithraic Mirror responds to your requests in much the same way as the subconscious to positive affirmations. What you think will be reflected in your life. The only limiting factor is your own thinking. Now you can change the way you think. Use this self affirmation: "Positive energy flows through me as I go forth."

Say it to yourself as you go about your daily chores. Believe in its power to overcome the negativity that has kept happiness away from you. Now, let us review the process for wish fulfillment. Begin the Call to Mithras on the 16th day of the month. With eyes closed, draw in spirit essence and center it in the middle of your head. See your wish reflected in the Mithraic Mirror. Give thanks to Mithras for granting your wish. Re-enact the Water Miracle.

This simple magic will take about 15 minutes to complete, from beginning to end. Use it constantly, and your most extravagant wishes can be realized. Once you realize that you can attract whatever you want or need, you will no longer be restricted by limited thinking.

2. MITHRAS: SPIRIT OF GOLD In the context of this work, money is a manifestation of the spirit essence of the sun. This rather abstract thought is not easy to understand, but I urge you to make every effort to do so. Once your mind accepts it as fact you will possess a magic formula, which can bring you good fortune and money sufficient to cover your financial need. It will also fill you with such an air of confidence, that your friends and associates will notice a change in your outlook on life. This is good, and as it should be. Mithraic Prosperity Rite You could probably do with a dose of instant cash. Give this simple ritual a try. On the 16th day of the month (or any day during the month of July), imagine you are standing on a hill, with nothing but the wonderful, glorious sun above you. See the sun showering you with golden rays of prosperity. Try to actually breathe in this subtle energy. Feel it circulating within you. As the rays shower your body, say (or think): "Mithras, bless me with new prosperity and good fortune." Give thanks to Mithras for raining down his power rays upon you. Your new job will soon be on its way to you. The Power of 7 In addition to the aura there are seven energy centers in the human body. Located at the base of the spine, the solar plexus, the heart, the throat, the bridge of the nose, the base of the skull, and the middle of the head, each of these energy centers control a specific area of human life. When all seven centers are working in unison you will be able to free yourself of the perplexities of life. Mithraic Magic builds solar power into the centers and makes them active. The number 7 plays an important role in "the mysteries of Mithras," there are 7 letters in Mithras, the 16th day of the month (6+1=7), the 7th month, seven stages of initiation, and the name Mithras has a number value of 7 (3+4=7). In numerology each letter of the alphabet is given a value from 1 to 9. It was this

Remove the image from your mind and open your eyes. When you use the Mithraic Good Fortune Rite, get ready for dynamic changes in your luck. There is no prize, large or small, that you cannot win, if you truly believe you can receive it. 3.MITHRAS: ANGEL OF HEALTH Yoga teaches that the mind and body are linked. If you have discordant thinking habits, your health will be adversely affected. I will now show you how to energize the creative power of the sun for better health, longer life, and more vigor and vitality. It is my belief that with these methods minor illnesses can be cured and pain eased. These methods should not be used as a substitute for recognized medical treatment. Mithraic Health Rite

To help banish general illnesses, try this simple healing rite. You have now spoken the Call to Mithras, drawn in his spirit essence, centered it in the middle of your head and seen it become a pulsating orb of limitless power. See, in your mind, a bright, golden light shining down on you from above. The golden light is solar energy given substance through your imagination. Try to actually breathe in this solar light, feel it circulating within you. Your body will absorb this energy to bring about a healing. When you are ready to bring the ritual to an end, say: "I give thanks to Mithras, for planting the seeds of health within me." Remove the image from your mind and open your eyes. Your health should soon begin to improve. The Mithraic Way to Health and Happiness One of the most fulfilling aspects of the Mithraic Healing Principle is that you can use it to heal another as well as yourself. You have only to direct Mithras' energy toward that purpose. The person that you wish to heal does not need to know you are working on his or her behalf. On no account should you try to persuade the other person to cease taking recognized and regular medical treatment. Mithraic Healing Rite To help heal another, use this variation of the Mithraic Health Rite. See, in your mind, a bright, golden light shining down on the person in need of a healing. See him or her as vibrant and healthy, all signs of illness have faded away. When you are ready to bring the ritual to an end, say: "I give thanks to Mithras, for planting the seeds of health within (name of person)." Remove the image from your mind and open your eyes. Your friend's health should soon begin to improve.

You can be Reborn If you are mentally and physically depleted, you cannot realize your desires. Time and life will begin to pass you by, and your thinking habits will be negatively influenced. A mental attitude of rejection is formed, and your life comes to a standstill. The Mithraic Vitality Rite will take you out of this self-defeating cycle. You will be reborn. Say: "Mithras, Mithras shining bright. "I drink of your healing light." Drink the water, and say: "Mithras, I thank thee." Repeat this Rite daily, until the last day of the month. You may feel a little silly at first, when you do this. But after a few days, when you begin to become more alert and vigorous, you will feel quite differently. 7 Ways to a Healthier, Longer Life There are certain foods that can have an almost magical effect on the body. If you are feeling washed out, these foods can put the sparkle back into your life. Incorporate them into your diet, and watch what happens. They are special words of "focused thought" that are used to reinforce the creative power of mind. If you are looking to increase your bank balance, speak these words: The seeds of prosperity lay within me. I will use these riches to help others, as well as myself. What must I do to gain the riches I seek? Then, for the next few minutes, listen with your mind. Suddenly, you will know you must do to experience the prosperity that you are seeking. The Sun Prayer for Love Producing a benefit that you cannot touch or feel is done in much the same way. Use these words: I am worthy of being loved. I will return the love that I seek. What must I do to win the love of the person I care about? Sit quietly and listen with your mind, and you will become aware of what you must do to plant the seeds of love in the heart of another. The Sun Prayer for Power Over Others Here is a prayer that can bring you power over others, but only if it is intended for worthwhile purposes. Use these words: The seeds of power are within me. I will use my power over others to help them, and myself. What must I do to gain the power that I seek? Now listen for the answer, and you will soon know exactly what you must do to influence the thoughts and actions of others.

The Sun Prayer for New Friendships Can new friendships come from a prayer? Yes, they can. Use these words: I want others to seek me out as a friend. I am a friend to all. I will help the new friends I will soon meet to stay strong and well. What must I do to find new friends? Listen once more with your mind, and you will know exactly what you must do to turn strangers into friends. The Sun Prayer for Health If you do not have good health, you have nothing at all. Church leaders know that, when all else fails, the power of prayer can produce miracles of healing. Here is how to encourage the seeds of health to grow within you. Use these words: Is my illness a punishment for something I have done, or failed to do? Help me to understand the true cause of my illness. You will soon feel the Healing Power begin to permeate your entire being. Continue to follow your doctor's suggestions, and the seeds of health will grow within you. The Sun Prayer for Guidance You have now completed your study of "the mysteries of Mithras." You have learned how to apply the Rites of Mithraic Magic to change the circumstances of your life. But this method, involving as it does, time and effort, is not always feasible in emergencies when immediate help is needed. In times of trouble, when help is needed fast, you can talk directly to Mithras.

When you turn your face away from the sun, and open your eyes, the sign will be before you. Act on it immediately. Use this method only when needed, else it will fail you when you need it most. The Chinvat Bridge Long before any of the world's religions came into existence, mankind believed there would be judgment for its actions after death. Ancient writings tell of a state of existence which lasts 49 days after death, and souls pleading their innocence in a courtroom beyond the gates of death.
