VERBOS y PHRASAL VERBS En esta sección nos vamos a centrar en el tema de los verbos, un temita complejo en inglés… pero no tanto como otras partes del inglés, ¿recuerdas esta infografía?

Pues eso, teniendo en cuenta que el inglés en tema de verbos es menos complejo que el español, nos lo vamos a tomar con calma ;)

Empezaremos viendo los verbos regulares más comunes del inglés. Sabemos que son fáciles porque tanto su forma de pasado como de participio acaban en ‘-ed’. Lo que nos complica la vida es cómo se pronuncian estas formas acabadas en ‘-ed’. Por eso os muestro las reglas de pronunciación de estos verbos y una lista de verbos con la pronunciación que le corresponde. Esta lista está extraída del libro INGLÉS BÁSICO PARA HISPANOHABLANTES. Luego seguimos con una lista que os muestra cómo memorizar los verbos irregulares a partir de agruparlos por terminaciones (manera mucho más fácil que intentar aprenderlos aleatoriamente). Luego continuamos con un cuadro de verbos modales y con una lista de verbos + preposición que seguro que os resultará súper útil. Antes de dejar la sección de verbos, entramos un poquillo en Phrasal Verbs, pero no mucho ya que ese tema lo tenéis ampliamente desarrollado en el libroLOS VERBOS EN INGLÉS. Lo que sí incluyo en este PDF es una lista muy interesante sobre Phrasal Verbs y su equivalente formal en español ya que, como explico en el post correspondiente a este PDF: “Los Pharsal Verbs (si todavía no tienes muy claro lo que son o quieres repasar el tema, pincha aquí) son súper útiles en el día a día en inglés. Sin embargo, a la hora de escribir un ensayo académico o en situaciones más formales de curro o cartas muy serias, es mejor evitarlos. Existen dos versiones de estas formas verbales: el Phrasal Verb y su equivalente formal (muchas veces proviene del latín que son las que veremos en esta lista). El equivalente formal proveniente del latín YA LO SABES, ya lo conoces y lo sueles usar a diario. Al venir del latín (igualito que el español), ya nos resulta familiar y ¡no tenemos que aprendernos NADA!!... bueno, sí, la pronunciación correcta, pero eso es otro tema ;)”.

Por tanto esta lista os ayudará a memorizar el Phrasal Verb a partir de la forma verbal que ya conoces ;) Y para acabar, veremos una lista de Phrasal Verbs en contexto para hablar de las relaciones de pareja

VERBOS REGULARES Reglas de pronunciación de los verbos regulares Aprender a pronunciar estos verbos correctamente se consigue con la práctica, pero al menos ya lo tienes aquí para recordar la regla ;-) Estas son las 3 posibles pronunciaciones:

Luego nos centraremos en el tema de cómo se forman los adjetivos comparativos y superlativos en inglés. Seguidamente vamos a ver una lista de Participial Adjectives… ¿no sabes lo que son? Pues te recomiendo que no te pierdas el vídeo sobre este tema ;) Como resumen te diré que se trata del fastidio ese de la distinción entre “I’m interested” vs “I’m interesting”… La diferencia principal entre usar el que acaba en '-ed' o el que acaba en '-ing', estriba en que el Past Participle ('-ed') se refiere al sentimiento, a cómo se sienten las personas respecto a algo:

VOCABULARIO En la sección de VOCABULARIO aprenderemos palabras muy útiles para dos temas muy del día a día. En primer lugar, nos centraremos en vocabulario para cocinar en inglés. Pues ahora vamos a usar el mismo sistema de "agrupar" las palabras para aprender a pronunciar bien en inglés algunas de estas y evitar confusiones tontas ;-) Lo que está genial con este tipo de listas es que, si sabes pronunciar una sola palabra de la columna, ya sabes cómo se pronuncian todas las demás. 20 errores comunes que cometemos los hispanohablantes con las PREPOSICIONES en ingle s Como ya sabemos, y hemos visto en este post, las preposiciones en inglés nos llevan por el camino de la amargura :O Y el problema es que si cometes un error al usar una preposición se nota un montón y tu inglés sonará muy flojillo. Y no solo nos confunden las típicas AT, IN y ON, no my friend!, también nos liamos con algunas otras preposiciones en inglés... por lo de siempre: en inglés las usan de manera diferente a nosotros. Por ejemplo, donde nosotros decimos "con", ellos dicen "to" (que nosotros en principio lo traduciríamos por "a" -por eso no nos cuadra).

Mira el ejemplo: 

I am married WITH Peter

Esta frase parece correcta porque la hemos traducido directamente del español al inglés: "estoy casada CON Peter":

WITH= CON ¿No? ¡¡Pues noooo!! Las traducciones literales del español al inglés nos sirven de poco, sobretodo con el tema de las preposiciones. La traducción correcta para decir que "estoy casada con Peter" sería: 

I am married TO Peter

Parece no tener mucho sentido, pero es lo que es y debemos aprender el uso de estas preposiciones sí o sí. La mejor manera para dominar a las aparente indomables preposiciones en inglés es:  

Escuchar el inglés hablado lo máximo posible (aquí tienes algunos trucos para practicar inglés gratuitamente) Ponerte a prueba con tests y quizzes sobre preposiciones
