LOOM-CONTROL SERIES V

DBE-04547

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION 1

Page 4

Functional description: The loom control works on basis of an electrical gearing. An impulse transmitter mounted on the shed drive, detects the speed of the shed drive and transfers it to the loom control. The loom control calculates the speed of the shed drive with the factor of the weft insertion (Picks/10 cm or picks/inch) and controls the haul-off motor.

Functions: • Shift counter (4 shifts + total of shifts) • The weft density can be set via the keyboard • Indication of the machine speed (picks/min) • Indication of the haul-off speed (meters/min) • Roll change indication • Periodical weft cramming • Indication for change of the order • Machine statistics (data are recorded starting with the delivery): − Efficiency − Main switch on − Operating hours − Warp break − Weft break − Weft end • Software update is possible via notebook.

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION

Test menu: The test menu was installed to allow the testing of the individual components of the loom. The loom control works as electronic gearing controlling the haul-off motor according to the speed of the main ring. For this purpose a command variable is necessary. The command variable on the loom control are the main ring impulses. The main ring impulses with the haul-off transmission ratio and the haul-off impulses are translated in a PID speed regulator to the analogous output voltage for the FU converter drive of the haul-off (nominal value). Nominal value:

Analogous output voltage 0-10 V of the loom control

Actual value:

Haul-off impulses (40 per haul-off motor rotation)

The main ring can be subject to a functional test. If the machine is shut-down and the main ring is moved, the main ring impulses are increased in unit steps in the indication. Also the counter has to register the impulses when the INCH key is depressed. If the counter has reached a value of 65536, the counter reading is divided in two and starts again to count the impulses from 32768. (If the main ring counter is divided in two, the haul-off counter is also divided in two).

AZ:

The haul-off transmitter can be tested for its good operation. When depressing the INCH button on the machine, the haul-off counter has to start counting the impulses. ATTENTION: The main ring counter has to send impulses before the haul-off transmitter can supply impulses.

AZ-DI:

Indicates how many impulses the actual value is below the nominal value; normally between 80 and 200 impulses.

AZ-DM:

Haul-off difference memory. If the actual value is by more than 512 lower than the nominal value, the machine is shut down and values bigger than 512 are stored here.

POWER-FAIL:

Indicates how often the main switch has been cut off and in.

Crash-Cnt:

shows how often the processor had a hang-up
