Section I Limitations

PROHIBITED MANEUVERS Aerobatic maneuvers and spins Avoid rapid and large alternating control inputs, especially in combination with large changes in pitch, roll or yaw (e.g., large sideslip angles) as they may result in structural failures at any speed, including below VA MANEUVERING FLIGHT LOAD LIMITS 1. Flaps and landing gear up 2. Flaps and landing gear down

2.85 g to - 1.0 g 2.0 g to - 0.0 g NOTE

These accelerations may limit angle of bank in turns and severity of pull-up maneuvers. See figure 5-16, Buffet Boundary. MAXIMUM APPROVED OPERATING ALTITUDE 45,000 feet NOTE 1. Maximum altitude for dispatch with both autopilot and yaw damper inoperative is limited to 31,000 ft. 2. If CABIN DOOR light comes on or obvious door seal defect is detected, maximum altitude is limited to 41,000 ft. OPERATING PERFORMANCE LIMITATIONS Aircraft operation is prohibited when either ambient temperature or pressure altitude exceeds that shown in Figure 1-2. In no case may performance be extrapolated beyond ambient temperature or pressure altitude for which data is shown in performance charts (Section V). For operating at ambient temperatures or pressure altitudes below those shown in performance charts (Section V) use performance for lowest data shown. FIGURE 1-2. TEMPORARY REVISION NO. 15

SUBJECT: Thrust reversers limitations change, to allow only IDLE DEPLOY thrust reverser operation, pending resolution of issue concerning bolts installed in the upper scissors fitting of the tail assembly. This temporary revision and its limitations are removed when Alert Service Bulletin No. 100-55-293 part A and part B is fully complied with. This revision is applicable to all Astra serial numbers as follows: 004, 011-072 and 074-078

CAAI APPROVED: _____________________________ P. Grandel, Manager Senior Deputy Director - Airworthiness Civil Aviation Administration, Israel

CAAI APPROVED 14 Jun 2007

Section I Limitations

THRUST REVERSER LIMITATIONS 1. Do not exceed IDLE DEPLOY position. NOTE Nominal reverse N1 setting is 80% rpm at sea level, standard day; it is modulated by electronic fuel control computer according to OAT and altitude to maximum 87% N1 rpm at 5000 ft. 2. Reverse thrust above IDLE DEPLOY position may only be used in situations critical to bring the aircraft to a full stop. 3. Do not deploy thrust reversers for more than 1 minute maximum in a 15 minutes period. 4. Thrust reverser ARM switch must be OFF (ARM light off) above 180 KIAS.
