The Makhraj of the Thaa is pronounced from the tip of the tongue and the edge of the upper incisors. The tip of the tongue should protrude slightly to be visible from the outside. A common mistake is that the tongue is not protruded and does not touch the incisors and kept inside the mouth below the top gum-line which makes it sound like Saa.
