Mini Wendy – smaller version of doll Wendy from the “AradiyaToys Friendies” collection in a lamb costume. Mini Wendy is a very easy and simple toy to crochet, she can become a real friend to children of any age. If you use the above-mentioned yarns and a 2.00 mm (US: B, UK: 14) hook, you get a 11-cm-tall (4,33-inches-tall) doll as a result. The stuffing material used in this doll is polyester wadding. This pattern is for personal use only. Sharing information from this pattern is prohibited. Useful tips • All amigurumi toys are crocheted with tight stitches. Avoid small holes when stretching the crochet fabric. If there are any holes through which stuffing material can be seen, use a smaller size hook. • To avoid seams, all details are crocheted in a spiral without slip stitch and lifting loops. • There is a chance that you will lose the beginning of the round; to avoid this, use a marker. It can be a colored pin or thread of contrasting color. Pin the marker to the last loop of the round. Every new round must be finished with a loop with the marker in it. • Stuff details of your amigurumi as you go. It is very hard to stuff the detail evenly when it is almost finished. • Always change the color of yarn at the last step of the last stitch of the previous color.

To do so, insert the hook as shown on image 5, take sand yarn (Image 6), pull up a loop (Image 7), make 1ch (Image 8) and crochet 1sc into the same front loop in which we inserted the hook (Image 9). The first sc of the first round is ready. 1 rnd 30sc into the remaining front loops of the 5th round (30)

Hold the body upside down and connect milky white yarn to the remaining front loop of the first stitch of the 10th round, as we did before on page 8. Crochet: 15 rnd (5sc, inc) repeat 6 times (42) Cut the yarn and finish the round in an invisible way. To make this: pull the end of yarn through the last stitch completely (Image 22), thread the end of yarn into the needle, skip one stitch and guide the yarn into the next stitch as shown on image 23. Insert the needle back in the same hole where the yarn comes from (Image 24). Fasten the obtained stitch (Images 25). Weave in the end of yarn (Image 27).

Cut the yarn and finish the round in the same invisible way as described on page 11. Now we need to crochet the costume hem on the hood. This will be a round of slip stitches (sc) along the edge of the hood crocheted with milky white yarn. To do so, turn the hood so that the last round is facing downward and insert the hook into the front loop of the closing stitch as shown on image 44. Connect milky white yarn, yarn over (Image 45) and pull up a loop (Image 46).

Curls on the hood To crochet the curls on the hood, turn it so that the round with a hem is facing downward. Find the first remaining front loop of the 16th round, and insert the hook as shown on Image 54. Connect light pink yarn, yarn over (Image 55) and pull up a loop (Image 56). 8.1 Curls on the hood Continue to crochet curls in spiral into all remaining front loops of the hood, until you crochet the last front loop on the top. Put the details of the ears’ against each other, wrong side against wrong side (Image 69), and insert the hook into the next stitch of the light pink detail first and then into the 4th stitch to the right from the "closing stitch" on the milky white detail (count "closing stitch" as the first (Images 70 and 71)).

Assembly Put the hood on the head so that the closing stitch of the last round is placed on the back center of the head. The back side of the hood should be placed a little lower than the front side (Image 85). Place the ears onto the sides of the hood, pointing them to the bottom so that their extreme bottom points are on the same line as the hem of the hood. Fasten them with pins (Image 86).

Assembly To make Mini Wendy look more cute, you can embroider eyelashes near her eyes and cheek blushes under her eyes (Image 99). Embroider Wendy’s closed eyes with dark brown yarn. Wendy's closed eyes should be situated between the 8th and 9th round of the head (Image 100). The distance between the eyes should be 4 stitches (Image 101). Each eye is 3 stitches long (Image 102). If you want to make sleepy eyes, lower the middle of the yarn a little bit and embroider eyelashes pointing downward. And if you want to make smiling eyes, raise the middle of the yarn a little bit and embroider eyelashes pointing upward.
