Earl Klugh is often using using arpeggiated chords to start or finish his runs. I these situations arpeggiated chords should be played to be part of the runs. Ex. C should sound like Ex. D and Ex. E should sound like Ex. F

When playing this kind of runs Earl Klugh is delaying the melody to create a rolling effect. Ex. A should be played to sound like Ex. B
