Material list Yarn: Scheepjes Catona - petal peach (263), white (105), chocolate (507), coffee (162) and deep ocean green (401). Schachenmayr Catania - curry (431). Pingouin Bella - fonte (2599). As they are a good match, any of the 3 types of yarn can substitute the other.

Others: Hook: 1.75mm (or the size you prefer); about 48cm of hard electrical wire gauge 14 (US) or single core 1.5mm (EU); some plastic card to reinforce the soles of the boots; fiberfill; 6 mm safety eyes; tapestry needle; fabric glue; stitch markers; scissors; pins; 1 pipe cleaner; 1 6mm button for the dress; about 30cm of decorative ribbon for the dress; Optional: decorative hearts for the beanie. Note: If you do not use the same yarn or hook as me, you may need to adjust the size of the safety eyes and wire.

With petal peach color. 4sc in magic ring = 4 sts 4 incs = 8 sts sc each st around (23 rounds) = 8 sts

Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in. Don`t stuff.

Feet and legs Round 1

With deep ocean green color - ch6. Round 34 starts after de 2nd st (=last) of round 33. You are changing the place where the round starts and ends. Don’t forget to move your marker. 38 sc each st around = 12 sts LEFT LEG: Mark the 10th st. Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in. RIGHT LEG: 4sc to get to the inside center, ch2. Don't cut the yarn.

Before joining the legs, finish the socks with deep ocean green color. SOCK EDGE: insert the hook on the 3rd st of round 32 (1st visible front loop) and crochet 12sc = 12 sts. Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in.

Body Joining the legs: Round Continue with white. 1 1sc on the 10th st of the last round of the left leg, make the remaining 11sc of that leg, 2sc in the outer loops of the ch2, 12sc in the right leg and 2sc in the remaining loops of the ch2 = 28 sts If you use different yarn or hook you might need to join the legs on a different st. The important thing is that the feet must be in the position you like them to be and that the round starts on the back of the body.

Join arms to the body. Start by placing them close to the body with the help of pins only to make it easier to work.

Head Round Continue with petal peach. 1 12 incs = 24 sts 2 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc) 7 times, 1sc = 32 sts 3 (3sc, inc) 8 times = 40 sts 4 2sc, inc, (4sc, inc) 7 times, 2sc = 48 sts 5 (5sc, inc) 8 times = 56 sts 6 - 19 sc each st around (14 rounds) = 56 sts Place the 6mm safety eyes between rounds 11 and 12 leaving 11 stitches between them (9 visible stitches). Embroider the nose between rounds 10 and 11 over the middle st between the eyes.

When placing the eyes, you can melt the inside tip using a lighter. Press it with a metallic object so that it flattens the melted tip. This prevents the tip from trapping the fiberfill distribution and enhances safety. Stuff more. If necessary, cut off excess wire. The wire does not need to go through the entire head. The important thing is to stabilize it. Make sure that the wire is well centered and involved in fiberfill. 20 (5sc, dec) 8 times = 48 sts 21 2sc, dec, (4sc, dec) 7 times, 2sc = 40 sts 22 (3sc, dec) 8 times = 32 sts 23 1sc, dec, (2sc, dec) 7 times, 1sc = 24 sts Put enough fiberfill under eye level to ensure firmness of the head. 24 (1sc, dec) 8 times = 16 sts 25 8 decs = 8 sts Stuff more. Hair Round With curry color. 1 7sc in magic ring = 7 sts 2 7 incs = 14 sts 3 FLO - (1sc, inc) 7 times = 21 sts Don’t cut the yarn. You are now going to make 21 strands = 1st layer (work on the right side). To make it easier to assemble, mark and identify the strands indicated with leftovers of different colors. Balance the gauge applied to chains and hdc. If the chains are too tight, the hair will curl.

Assembly the hair   

   

Place the wrong side of the hair facing outwards. Match the top center of the head with the center of the wig and pin it. Start by pinning the 7th strand (layer 1) aligning it 5 sts away from the right eye. Pin the 19th strand 5 sts away from the left eye. Conditioning factors like gauge, yarn or head stuffing can make a difference. For all head spaces to be covered, there may be a need to change the number of stitches that keep the strands away from the eyes. Sew the top circular part of the hair to the head. Glue to the head strands 7 to 19 evenly to cover all spaces (13 strands). Glue only the top of the strands and leave the bottom loose. (You may also sew/tack the strands if you do not want to use glue). Do not glue strands 1 to 6 and 20 to 21 from layer1. Do not glue the 2nd layer strands. Straighten and pin each strand so that it holdes it shape.

Boots Insoles Round 1

With coffee color - ch7 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) - 5sc, inc, (turn and work on the other side of the chs) 5sc, inc = 14 sts 2 inc, 4sc, 3 incs, 5sc, inc = 19 sts 3 2 incs, 5sc, 4 incs, 7sc, inc = 26 sts Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in the remaining yarn tail. Put it aside. You will need it later.

Boots Round With coffee color - ch7 (leaving about 15cm of tail at beginning). 1 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) - 5sc, inc, (turn and work on the other side of the chs) 5sc, inc = 14 sts 2 inc, 4sc, 3 incs, 5sc, inc = 19 sts 3 2 incs, 4sc, 7 incs, 4sc, 2 incs = 30 sts 4 BLO - sc each st around = 30 sts Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in the remaining yarn tail. With coffee color, Insert the hook in the gap between the first and the last st of the sole, near to the visible loops of round 3, from the outside to the inside and pull up a loop. Insert the hook into the next space and crochet 1 slst. Repeat for 30 slst all the way around (surface crochet technique). Cut the yarn and weave in all ends. White yarn is used here for tutorial purposes only. Please, use coffee color.

With chocolate color, insert the hook in the stitch following the last stitch of the sole. From this point each round ends with 1 slst joining the last and the first st and starts with ch1 that does not count as a stitch.

5 - 6 ch1, sc each st around (2 rounds) = 30 sts, join with a slst. Don´t cut the yarn. You will get back to this part later. Place the plastic card on the bottom of the work (wrong side). Make a small hole in the center of the plastic card and thread the beginning tail through it. Make knots to secure it. On top glue the insole made previously.

Resume the body of the boots paused after round 6. 7 ch1, 9sc, 6 decs, 9sc = 24 sts, join with a slst. 8 ch1, 9sc, 3 decs, 9sc = 21 sts, join with a slst. 9 ch1, 8sc, 2 decs, 9sc = 19 sts, join with a slst. 10 ch1, sc each st around = 19 sts, join with a slst. 11 ch1, sc each st around = 19 sts, don`t join. Cut the yarn and finish the round with the invisible join. Weave in the remaining yarn tail.

Dress Try the dress in height as you go and change the number of rounds if necessary. The stitches should not be as tight as for the doll's body. Use a bigger hook if needed. When working in rows, each one starts with a ch1 that does not count as a st. Row With Bella yarn - ch19 (leaving 20cm of tail at the beginning). 1 (starting in the 2nd ch from the hook) 18sc = 18 sts, turn. 2 ch1, 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc) 5 times, 1sc = 24 sts, turn. 3 ch1, 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc) 7 times, 1sc = 32 sts, turn. 4 ch1, 5sc, ch6, skip/ignore 6sts, 10sc, ch6, skip/ignore 6sts, 5sc = 32 sts, turn. 5 ch1, 5sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 10sc, inc, 4sc, inc, 5sc = 36 sts, turn. 6 - 10 ch1, sc each st around (5 rows) = 36 sts, turn. 11 ch1, (5sc, inc) 6 times = 42 sts, don`t turn. Round From this point the dress will be done in rounds. 1 sc each st around = 42 sts 2 (6sc, inc) 2 times, 14sc, (inc, 6sc) 2 times = 46 sts 3-4 sc each st around (2 rounds) = 46 sts 5 (7sc, inc) 2 times, 14sc, (inc, 7sc) 2 times = 50 sts 6-7 sc each st around (2 rounds) = 50 sts 8 (8sc, inc) 2 times, 14sc, (inc, 8sc) 2 times = 54 sts 9 - 10 sc each st around (2 rounds) = 54 sts Cut the yarn and finish with the invisible join. Weave in. With the beginning tail and your needle or hook open the first ch of the piece just enough to make a hole large enough for the button. Sew a button near to the 1sc of row 1. Sew the ribbon at the bottom of the dress.

Beanie Try the beanie as you go. Depending on the yarn, hook, stuffing and gauge, there may be a need to change the number of rounds. If your stitches are naturally tight, use a bigger hook than the one used for the body. The important thing is that the beanie can be easily placed onto the head. Round With deep ocean green color. 1 6sc in magic ring = 6 sts 2 6 incs = 12 sts 3 (1sc, inc) 6 times = 18 sts 4 1sc, inc, (2sc, inc) 5 times, 1sc = 24 sts 5 (3sc, inc) 6 times = 30 sts 6 2sc, inc, (4sc, inc) 5 times, 2sc = 36 sts 7 (5sc, inc) 6 times = 42 sts 8 3sc, inc, (6sc, inc) 5 times, 3sc = 48 sts 9 (7sc, inc) 6 times = 54 sts 10 4sc, inc, (8sc, inc) 5 times, 4sc = 60 sts 11 - 20 sc each st around (10 rounds) = 60 sts 21 1sc. 1hdc. 1dc. 3tdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, FLO - 24slst, 1sc, 1hdc, 1dc, 3tdc, 1dc, 1hdc, 1sc, FLO - 18slst = 60 sts Cut the yarn and finish with the invisible join. Weave in. Braids For each side cut 6 strands of 40cm each. Fold in half and apply with the fringe application technique. Divide into 3 equal parts (4 strands about 18cm each) and braid. Secure with yarn of the same color. You can decorate as you like.
