I also do tattoos part-time on the weekends. Machine World is a personal piece I worked on as an excuse to try out Alex Ruiz techniques after checking out his tutorials. My thought here was that machines may eventually take over but are doomed to the same fate as man kind. Turning on each other and eventually self destructing.

Rogier van de Beek www.beek-art.com [email protected] Im Rogier van de Beek, i’m 25 years old and i live in The Netherlands. I’ve been drawing for 3 years now. I haven’t gone to any art school, so i guess i’m autodidact. I love drawing with pencil, prolly more than working digital. But since the industry requires digital most of the time. I have been lately focussing more on that.

The sahara tour is something i have made to put in my portfolio and for my little niece. She’s 2 years old and loves animals. So i figured i’d make something that is fresh and suitable for the youngest.

The thief couple was made as a personal piece to fit in my portfolio. It took a little over 10 hours to make. Started with some pencil thumbnails to see how the poses work.
