Service Codes: 7081/2271/5961/1357 Vita/POC Carestream CR software V3.2.3.510 IMPORTANT: When doing the procedures in this document, you must use safe work practices and wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (for example, Safety Eyewear) according to your Company's Standard Operating Procedures. Instructional Background When using Image-Suite for the Vita/POC systems, the software may display a message that the scanner is not calibrated. In some cases, it was found that this message is false, and the reason for the message is not missing calibration but a problem in the integration between Carestream CR software (scanner software) and Image-Suite software. How to Check if the Scanner is Calibrated 1. 2. 3. 4.

Start Image Suite Utility Center On CR Tools, select POC/Vita System Setting Click on POC Vita System Settings button If the calibration list has one or more X –  The message is correct and the system needs to be calibrated. Follow the calibration instructions in the Service Manual 5. If the calibration list has only V –  The message is false. To fix this, Carestream CR software update is required (version 3.2.3.510). Follow the instructions in the “How to update Carestream CR software version to 3.2.3.510” section in the next page.

How to update the Carestream CR Software Version to 3.2.3.510 The Carestream CR Software has to be updated only after the Image Suite MR1 and Hotfix 3002 patch are installed. The table below describes what updates are required depending on the configuration found. To use the table, find the versions configuration that is currently installed, and then follow the steps in “install the following” column.
