Subject TIB467 - Product Rationalisation Body Many changes are being implemented both to configurations of rotors and to availability of rotor parts. Some crusher components are also being changed and discontinued. ROTOR AVAILABILITY Current rotors today (ie. belonging to current crusher models) are: 690DTR, 840STD, 840DTR, 990STD and 990DTR. The following classic rotors remain available for earlier crusher models: 300, 500STD, 690STD, 760STD, 760DTR, 1200STD, and 1200DTR. However, some rotors have been discontinued and discussions are needed with customers to implement changes. These discontinued rotors are:  690 UNIVERSAL (B61274105A) – Refer to earlier TIB408 for details. Parts exclusively used in the 690 Universal are also discontinued: Rotor Weldment B61274106A/W Rotor Boss B61274113A Upper Wear plate Set B61274135C Lower Wear Plate Set B61274140C Trail Plate Set B61274055A Top Wear Plates B61274170A and B61274170B  840 SPACED (B96334105M and B96334105N) – Can be substituted for 840STD or 840DTR depending on customers’ needs. Rotor Spacer B96394014A also discontinued.  990 SPACED (B96394105M and B96394105N) – Can be substituted for 990STD or 990DTR depending on customers’ needs. Rotor Spacer B96394014A also discontinued.  840 4-PORT (PD1241300A and PD1241300B) – Can be substituted for 840DTR. Essentially, “Bare” rotors (including Rotor Weldment, Rotor Boss, Top Plate, Taper Lock, and fasteners) will be replaced by “Basic” rotor assemblies (including Rotor Weldment, Rotor Boss, Top Plate, fasteners, Top Lipped Wear Plate and Bottom Lipped Wear Plate). Basic rotors will be assembled and balanced at the factory, ready to accept the customer’s selection of wear parts.

There remain stocks of many of these items, so transactions will continue as normal until the stock is exhausted. However, it is recommended to begin customer discussions now so they have time to understand the situation and select suitable replacement offerings. There are other rotors and rotor parts that need to be considered: “PD…” prefix refers to developmental (R&D) items. Some of these items are used by a few customers, even though never officially introduced. Generally there is a standard offering (current or classic) that will suit, but specific replacements should be considered for each customer.  “TM…” and “TP…” prefix refers to customer-specific solutions designed to solve specific problems. Again, these were never officially introduced. Replacements should be considered on a case-by-case basis depending on what the customer needs.  Older versions of parts (eg. B48204105C and B48204105D are earlier versions of B48204105E) may be requested from time to time. Such older versions are also discontinued, to be replaced by the current equivalent. Refer to earlier TIBs for an explanation of the changes and suitable replacements. In the case of B48204105C the customer would change to MM0407468 + B48204007B + the new cast T/CWPs (PD0941600B). Refer to TIB459 for more information. In the case of B48204105D the customer would change to MM0407468 + B48204007B without any other implications. Refer to TIB462 for more information.  Enclosed rotors are also discontinued (all sizes). They can be replaced with open rotors in every case but customers must be aware that open rotors use additional wear parts. ie. top/bottom wear plates (included with the basic rotor), backup tips (some models), and cavity wear plates. For example: B48204005C is replaced by MM0407468 + B48204007B + PD0941600B B69274005C is replaced by MM0407469 + B69274007A + B69274060A + B69274150E + B96394150O/B B96334005C is replaced by MM0407474 + Taper Lock (MkII B96394007A or MkIII B96394007B) + B96394060B + Cavity Wear Plate (1-piece B96394150M or Split B96394150N). 
