INTRODUCTION There are many questions pertaining to our lives that we would like to know. Even decision making needs some foresight or hindsight which our normal level of intelligence might not be able to provide. There are also some cases where our reasoning faculty just fails to help us. The situation seems to be out of our comprehension, we are left in the dark. Normal questions everyday people ask and would like to get answers from authoritative sources are; is my house unlucky? – Since I moved in nothing seems to be going well for me. Should I involve my self in the relationship? – The guy seems to be so nice but right now I think they are all the same. What is the meaning of this dream? Is this my year of success? When am I going to meet the right person for me? When is my financial situation going to improve? What is causing this entire problem? - Am I the only one? Well the list goes on and on. We want to know, have an understanding or explanation. Is it really possible? Can we understand these things or everything? Hmmm, my answer is yes 50%±. Very funny I guess. The 50% means we can know up to a certain stage the reason for the events and situations taking place in our lives. The plus or minus means for different people there could be a gain or loss. Now Mr. A may be allowed to know up to 90%, while Mr. B may be allowed to know only up to 30% in his life time. The major reason for this is due to Karma and Human effort or at times God’s Guidance. Ah well let me give an example on this one. When I was in secondary school, I had some teachers who use to beat shit out of students, in some cases for no apparent reason. In those days I used to hear of a charm which if kept on the body of a person who is being beaten or you wear this charm on and someone beats you, it is said that spirits will go and beat back the person or people beating you the following night and he/they might fall sick and eventually die, if he/they are not strong enough. I tried looking for this charm seriously to teach those teachers some lesson. However it was only after I left secondary school that I met someone who taught me. Therefore in some cases when we go searching trying to know certain things, it might be in our best interest that they are hidden from us. There are times when we have to let go and accept that uncertainty. But even then we have to know that in this matter letting go is the best option.

HOW DO WE KNOW There are so many situations I can cite which requires the use of extra sensory perception. Over thousands of years seers and prophets of old devised means or were inspired on means of knowing. Some call it oracle, to some divination or whatever grammar that is assigned to it. The methods are many. Throwing of cowries or shells, reading the tarot cards or whatever cards, crystal ball gazing, stargazing, water gazing, candle gazing, spirit invocation, looking into the magical mirror, meditation, or gazing something. The list goes on and on. It’s so much I can’t finish. There is a simple and natural method I did not mention in the list, which I would like to explain here. Now unlike dreams which you can have only when you are unconscious or other forms of consultation which might involve someone else, or meditation where most people have to do it with their eyes closed. This method involves you and you alone and you don’t need to close your eyes. It is known as understanding the inner meaning of situations. An example here will suffice. In the beginning of this year two of my friends as well as me who are spiritualists resolved to take up disciplines which will assist us spiritually as well as materially. This discussion took place outside on the road as we were going somewhere. We all walked together on the same line, I mean nobody preceding or trailing behind the other, when we reached the point in our discussion where we dwelt on the topic open mindedness and sincerity. We came across a dog and two of us moved to the left and the other one moved to the right so the dog could pass, as the path was small. In short we made space for the dog. I did not forget the incident. In Yoruba language a dog is called Aja (Translated in another way it could mean tear or separate). Well this other guy that moved to the right on his own did not join us in this discipline but went elsewhere to do his own thing. I knew it would turn out this way (Though I never mentioned it to anybody) because of the sign I saw on that day. These things happen in our everyday life, we must learn to observe. The meanings if we dwell on them without adding a bias or self imposed translation, we will get it, just like a flash. God speaks to us through the leaves, stars, clouds, water, animals, anything, you name it and none is better than the other. It is the interpreter that should be questioned. My aim for writing this book is to teach you how to develop yourself or raise your level of awareness or knowing to a greater degree. I believe every human being has in him or her to some extent a level of awareness. I am more interested in practical things, like to know how to solve life basic problems, deal with psychic issues, rather than dwell on the history of orunmila or the origin of sango, discover a special aspect of oshun that is known to only a few people in the world (how much have we learnt of the aspect that is even known to everybody or how much do we know of ourselves) . I know matters like this have their place and is important, but it’s just not for me. In every step I take pertaining to spiritual matters I always ask myself; how do I use this information to develop myself? Do they count on one’s spiritual progress?

I posted a write up on Ase sometime ago and promised to follow it up, however as things would have it, I got involved in other projects. First of all I noticed that in some orisha groups so much emphasis is being placed on one’s level of priesthood or one’s ile and other sentiments. These things do not matter to me. Well like I said am a practical person and that is what I go for. In this book I do not want to dwell too much on the very widely treated subjects like cowry throwing, , kola nut or coconut throwing, medium ship, crystal ball gazing, tarot cards (The last 2 are not even African). I feel a people have already written on that subject and it will make this look like just one of the many books that says the same thing others have already said. So I will treat the not so much discussed aspects and as well the rarely seen phase of African mysticism.

THE AFRICAN TRADITIONAL WAY In African and Nigeria in particular where I stay, amongst the Yoruba people. Ifa is consulted (those that are still traditional or are forced by their problems to go there) through the Babalawo to find out things. This ifa could be in the form of palm nuts, cowries, opele (a special nut seed or brass or lead shaped in the form of the seed). There are 16 major odus or formations and from there are derived other complex ones. It is said that from the 16 are derived the 256 odus but I tell you there are some odus that I have seen that can’t be categorized anywhere under the 256. Anyway we have the ifa. Then we have the Dinlogun. They use cowries, it’s similar to the Ifa, however its origin varies in the sense that, the Dinlogun path Originates mainly from the Olorisha and not the Babalawo (the worshippers of Ifa as well as orunmila). Then we have the talking spirit known as the Osanyin, God of the Botanicals. This Osanyin in most God speaks to us through the leaves, stars, clouds, cases is hereditary, it is in the family and a special water, animals, anything, person is chosen as the custodian. However there are you name it and none is magical formulas that can be prepared to invoke the better than the other. It is Osanyin. Some of the ingredients include the heart of the interpreter that should a still born child. Mind you that is one of the many be questioned formulas available and it is not a general rule that all Osanyin preparations must include that. This Osanyin issue is quite wonderful and I intend to do a much deeper research into it. The Osanyin speaks audibly enough but the client may not be able to decipher the words so the custodian does the translation. The Osanyin can go and investigate or find out about the client’s problem and its relevant solution and reveal this to the client. In some cases it can also intervene on the client’s behalf in the spiritual world on some complex problems. Remember I said that it is a God. However there are different Osanyin belonging to different spiritual hierarchies and some more are powerful than others. I think the most powerful ones are the hereditary ones, those that have been around from way back passed on from generation to generation. There are quite a lot of mysteries surrounding the Osanyin phenomenon. It must also be said here that there are a lot of fakes out there. Some funny charlatans put a whistle under their tongue then back their clients and talk through it, pretending to be the Osanyin talking. Such people should be given a knock on the head when caught doing that. We have the Ologun, they are the medicine men, they have various way of divining depending on the ones they know and those that are readily available to them. Spirits invocation, magic mirror, water gazing, etc. I will give a detailed explanation of that. Actually an Ologun could be taught a formula by anybody a Hindu, a Buddhist, an Ifa priest, a cabalist, Olorisha whoever and would apply it in his trade. Theirs is purely based on formulas (I can hear some people say which can be very dangerous). I can tell you that these people are well trained and they know what to use at the right time. 7
In addition there are white garment churches around here that also reveal visions to their clients, they won’t call it divining. Most of them do this through medium ship. They say the Holy Spirit possess them. Actually there are psychic people around so what the general overseer of this church does is to find such people and groom them. Then during their prayer session a suitable environment is enabled for the transformation, this will induce the entity to speak through this medium. Though at times I think if this entity wishes to speak it will, whether the environment is induced or not. Still on the white garment churches, not all of them are mediums. There are also those that can close their eyes and see flashes of images and gain insight into the client’s problems. This sort of thing can also be developed in anybody, and this is what this book will be trying to do. This particular gift is not restricted only to the white garment churches, but many other churches and in fact individuals regardless of faith, creed or sect. In Nigeria we have 3 major religions, the Christians, Muslims and the traditionalists. Now we have dealt a little on the Christians and traditionalists. Islam is a wonderful religion; amongst them too we have great seers and gifted men. Over here in Nigeria there are those that deal wit psychic matters. They are called Alfa(s) (meaning dedicated men of God). There are different reasons for calling people Alfa here. Some are just Arabic teachers and they are referred to as Alfa or mallim, Some preach and explain the Koran these are also known or called Alfa here and some solve spiritual / psychic problems or use spiritual means to solve material problems. Those are the ones we are interested in here. So when you hear people saying Alfa, Alfa it doesn’t automatically mean that he is a …….. you know what. Now these people also have their ways of divining. I have noticed that some of these Alfa(s) might as well be called Ologun(s) ‘cos the methods and formulas they apply are quite similar. One of their divining methods is what they call ISTIARA. These are Islamic prayers that are said with ablution. Some also involve the use of seals and names of Jins or spirit entities. These prayers are said before going to sleep. Then what ever you want to know will be shown to the Alfa in dreams. Then they also have those that use sea sand or whatever sand. They draw some seals upon it and give their readings. They also divine with chanting beads. The spiritualist / Alfa tells his client to pick one bead out of the whole string, then he counts from the start of the rosary and based on the number upon which the chosen bead falls on he makes his prediction or gives his reading. Let me give a little description on some of the available divining methods. This time I will cut across all religions and give some in-depth explanation.

IN-DEPTH ON SOME TYPES AVAILABLE The Magical gourd This is a special preparation but in a very small gourd. This gourd is place on the floor or placed on the palm of the hand depending on instructions. Then you ask yes or no questions. The gourd is to be placed lying down like this. Then you ask did John steal my wrist watch. If john did steal my wrist then rise up. Then it will rise and stand if it really is John. If not it will remain on the floor or on the palm. Anybody can use it, though I find it mostly in the hands of Alfa(s) and Ologun(s). This gourd is very wonderful and I have used it many times to solves certain mysteries and also discover the real nature of some of my so called friends. In cases of theft it has been wonderful. Human beings tell lies a lot, and at an alarming rate. This thing also proved it many times. You can say I trust the gourd than my fellow human beings.
Bones and Other Funny objects Some people divine with bones and some other funny objects. They throw these objects, just like they throw cowries. They have their ways of reading stuff like that.
Magical Seals Special seals are drawn on the wall or white piece of clothe, or white paper depending on the formula, then the spirit is invoked. Then a young virgin girl or boy is called to look upon the seal. This young person sees this spirit and starts communicating with it (or whatever it is). Through him/her we ask our questions and she/he will repeat the reply given by the spirits. In some cases some young (virgin, who knows?) would look upon this seal and see nothing. Ha. Don’t blame the child it happens. This has to do with purity and proximity with spirits in one’s past life. I mean those kind of spirits or entities that one calls upon.
The Rotating Oracle Some funny preparations exist where you put some leaves in a bowl with other ingredients, chant the required incantation, then place this bowl on the head of any

willing subject and ask yes or no questions. This bowl will rotate in any direction you order it in relation to the nature of your questions. However I think sometimes the entity doing that thing forgets its left from its right ha ha. Example: If my husband is cheating on me turn right; If he isn’t stay where you are. If he really is it will certainly turn. I think for it to know your right, use your hand to point the direction. Africa is wonderful.
Spirit Invocation Spirit invocating charms; we’ve gotten some Ologun(s) that bury charms on the floor of their consultation room or wall or wherever (depending on the instructions of the formula) and when they are about to call the spirit, they light a candle of the required color and call the spirit’s name, then communication starts. The clients won’t see anything. The spiritualist might just start telling. ‘You have to travel home, your mother is very sick’. ‘You have 3 children, watch the middle one, in 2 years he will run away from home ‘cos of his associations and a truck will run over him.’ These things will be absolutely correct if care is not taken or instructions are not followed.
The Pot of Visions A large clay pot that has been specially prepared in herbs can also be used. In this case the owner / spiritualist calls the incantation and smoke starts to come out of this pot (at times its water that might start boiling, whatever). Then the spiritualist starts to look inside this pot then starts to see whatever he wishes to know, just like the case of the magic mirror.
The Magic Mirror A note on the magic mirror. Films make it seem so easy, actually I have seen one before. Looking into other dimensions can be dangerous at times for the uninitiated or the novice. I think that is why some people talk about going blind here (we will discuss that later). The one I saw was in a pitch dark room, no light was allowed to come in and an image appeared. The only light present in the room was the one emanating from the mirror itself, not very bright but enough to outline the image we wanted to see. I won’t tell you what was supposed to be done to the image of the person that appeared but, I know it’s not easy to prepare one and for it to work for the spiritualist one should have developed himself to a certain level. There are cases where people prepared this magic mirror formula and yet could not view anything inside though the formula was gotten from a reliable source. I think they were not yet ready. Crawl before you walk.
The Magic of Astral Revelations There are special charms that can be prepared and placed under the pillow. You sleep on this to reveal to you in the dream what you wish to know or the latest in your astral world. At times people use this stuff over here to reveal witches secrets / plans. Warning.

The Oracle of Chanting Beads You could also divine with chanting beads. The spiritualist tells his client to pick one bead out of the whole string, then he counts from the start and based on the number upon which the chosen bead falls on they make their prediction or divination. This method might sound simple and you might just want to try it out, or relate it with numerology. Its okay, it will work I suppose. There is a master of this method that I know, he is an old man now, will be clocking 70 soon. He is known as Baba video. He lives in the ancient town of Oyo. As his name, if he divines for you using this bead method (his only method anyway), his information is so detailed that you would think a video on one’s life is being played in front of him. He says he has being using this method for over 40 years now.
Knowing by Contact We also have the palm (readers/ gazers / holders) I don’t really know how to categorize them. These people am talking about do not read signs in the palm, but use special charms which makes them speak about the problem or the solution to problems of the person they are holding their palm.
The Magical Eye makeup Ladies use the eye brow pencil to make up their face right. Well over here there are lead powders that are mixed with special herbs and prepared as special formulas. This is used in marking the eye brow for vision. It’s very quick and at times dangerous for the lily livered. Immediately you start seeing spirits (depending on the formula used though, as I have learnt that there is no general rule on this path). This lead is known as ‘TIRO’ over here. I think the Hausas call it ‘Kaji Kaji’. This does not mean to say that everybody you see putting on this tiro wants to see spirits. There are various reasons for applying tiro e.g. Love, sales, money, ordinary local face makeup etc.
The Seal of Jins I had at a particular time this seal drawn with the blood of an agama lizard. This seal was tied to a monkey skin. Then it was on this monkey skin that I sat and called the names of some 7 spirits or Jins. They wouldn’t actually appear, so don’t be scared, but whatever it is you require of them they will tell you through one way or another. It could be a dream, whisper, and flash of thought, whatever.
The Magic of Medium ship This particular one am talking about is quite dangerous I and have only see it once, and no where else. Not all people are mediums but, even that can be induced with the use of the right charms. I just thought of adding this at the last minute. I was one of my masters known as Agbada Ogun (pot of charms) that had it. He was carried away by the whirlwind entities (When this entities moved we see it in the form of the whirlwind) he 11
was carried into their world when he was young and stayed there for quiet sometime, I think that is where he was given this charm. It is in the form of a small gourd, this gourd lived in his stomach (of course he swallowed it) it made him drink a lot but also made him quite clairvoyant, it seemed as if the more he drank the clearer his vision. When he makes his prediction or gives his vision to the client, it seemed as if he was possessed, and use to moan at times. He was not himself and his eyes would turn red, at times he looks quite scary. Its some power I guess, I think it also came with Ase, whatever he says when he is in such state comes to pass.
I think its okay, I can’t exhaust the list, but I think you have been able to see that not only do we have the Ifa and Dinlogun as an oracle but there are many other forms. You won’t hear this from anybody but at times too Babalawo(s) or Olorisha(s) also use these extra forms of divination to support their cowry throwing. Not all of them mind you, but those that do won’t tell you. You know Ifa speaks in riddles once in a while as well as the obi or Dinlogun, so other methods, some of the ones I have mentioned are also used to give more specific or detailed information. All these things do not concern the client. I must also add that there are charlatans, got lots of them here that try to simulate some of these formulas and pretend as if they are using the original thing. A special case is this candle lighting guy that will frighten his clients into revealing to him what they came for, or a funny looking gourd that will be overly dressed, the quake claiming to have with him the magical gourd, whenever this gourd is placed facing down and will always standup ‘cos that how its been made, so they form their questions in such a way to suit this device of theirs. Or those that will tell you to rub your eyes with some burning substance and tell you to look into a dark pot, or some blurred mirror and pressurize you into saying that you have seen something. We have them all; they resort to funny, as well as awkward means to part you of your hard earned money. These people do not give enough reason for us to conclude that all is false, there are still few trust worthy and genuine practitioners of mysticism here. They learnt the hard way, and they cherish their knowledge.

LEVEL OF ACCURACY For those who are regular consultants of this means of knowing or oracle well we know that they are not 100% accurate. There are cases where they fail us or some predictions do not come to pass. This aspect I am talking about here I feel should be treated in another book; because the knowledge I am about to share here was not taught to me by anybody or book. It is something I realized through experience after years of practice and association with the wise one. You must understand that even the wise ones did not teach me, I made conclusions from their discussions and spent time observing them. I will just brief you my dear readers a little. These things are also influenced by the day, time, and hour. Even ifa, Dinlogun, and other forms of divination are also influenced. One realizes these things after years of study and practice. This should not make you to lose faith in them but rather make you eager to discover ways of improving yourself more so that you become an adept ‘cos that’s what being an adept is all about. I am sorry I can’t say more than that. There are really no general answers as such; it’s just that you will know. Everything is based on probability, things are always changing, there are ways of increasing one’s level of accuracy however and that is by improving one’s self spiritually. The formulas I will be giving here would go a long way to help improve us.
If you are a really serious spiritualist and are very much concerned about your level of accuracy in divination, you would embark of some proper investigation. What lesson can we learn from this. The moral of our story is that it is not everybody that has studied ifa, or Dinlogun and can throw cowries is an adept in divination and can give accurate readings no. It is the person, how learned, experienced and developed he is that matters. Don’t ask me how I will know, I myself don’t know, you can go round testing them.
A little story two men went round testing babalawos in their area, when they visit any one, they say what they came for on money and give it to the Babalawo, the Babalawo is supposed to know what they came for without asking them, in fact he is supposed to tell them what they whispered on their money or summarize it. Most babalawos they visited failed, because these men were actually whispering insults on the money. However they visited this Babalawo, after he threw his opele, and read the divination (in his mind) he went inside and took a cutlass to threaten them men. After a lot of pleading from the men and neighbors they settled down to discuss real business. Do not try this you might lose your head.

THE SPIRITUALIST HIMSELF Now we have been talking about the methods people use in divining, however we have not mentioned the people themselves. Do they have to do anything to prepare them? Is it possible that they can divine without any of these listed charms, formulas or method? Yes of course. Amongst all I mean all that I have met, known, seen, be it Olorisha, Babalawo, Ologun, Alfas, even pastors (the genuine ones) one thing is common, Ounmo meaning knowing. They possess that which makes them know. It’s a preparation that is taken into the body that increases their level of psychic perception or sixth sense. It is a combination of roots, herbs, animal parts (in some cases), etc. this is what I will be teaching you how to prepare because I think that is the most important. I would like to state here that some spiritualist over here do not know jack about Ifa or Dinlogun but just use Ounmo, they would just throw cowries to confuse their clients and yet make striking prophecies and say very true and correct things about the client. Hmmm so what do I care, either way everybody is satisfied. I must state here that this book is not for any sect, group, or particular faith, it is for all that is interested and wishes to know. The knowledge revealed here is not exclusively for the Babalawo, Olorisha, Ologun. A Buddhist, Hindu, atheist, Muslim, may also make use of it, so far as you value it and are interested. While I was compiling notes for this write up a friend of mine who is a staunch Christian (or believe he is a staunch Christian) and didn’t know I was on this path stumbled on some of my notes, he glanced through quickly and said ‘what is this’? I answered it is a book am writing, then he said ‘who will read such books’, then I answered we have our audience. He just snorted and changed the topic. If you are one of those that have already read some part of this book and think this guy is an overly superstitious bloke, then I guess you are not among the audience this book is meant for. Another point I must address is this book issue. I have being referring to this write up as a book, well it might end up being some 7 or 8 page pamphlet or write up. Whatever the case might be so far as I can pass the message across, I guess there should be no problem. Enough of that, lets get back to the main topic. Ounmo or knowing is common among these seers, all of them and I state all of them use it (here). It could be a charm, talisman, call it whatever, they use it in sharpening their extra sensory perception. They won’t tell you this and if they would you’ll have to pa for it, and study under them and get initiated and perform many ceremonies and so many other sacrifices before such secrets are revealed to you. (Well some masters might be lenient). That is why I am writing this book (he he he). If you want to prepare one, this is where you get it. If you are fairly psychic and you get scared very quickly, I’ll advise you that you don’t use it, as I won’t be responsible for any experience that you encounter. You are doing this of your own free will. I think if you get scared all the time, its better you stay clear, or go toughen up, then come back. However if you are one of those who does not believe in spirits and wants to see, or you have an Orisha and for one reason or the other you think it’s just an artifact sitting in your house and you would really love to see what is going on, you can apply it. 14
Now am not going to promise anything, because various people might try it and am certain each person will have a different experience to share. For some one like me, I do not see spirits at all on a normal day. When I start using things like this then I start seeing flashes of entities and beings in the night and at times in the day. The images don’t stay long to make an impression, however for some people it may dwell on for longer periods and they might also start hearing sounds. Though I notice that for me my dreams become clearer and sharper and I seem to be able to anticipate what people are going to say to me before I meet them. A small experience here will suffice: I wake up early in the morning and a picture or a scene comes to my mind, in that scene my friend comes to me and says Dennis I need N100.00 (Almost a dollar) and I say I don’t have, the next thing he tries to dip his hand into my pocket and I jerk his hand off and warn him not to try that sort of thing with me again. A few hours later I meet this same person in school (real life now) this same event happens exactly as I saw it in the scene played before me earlier on. Well some people might say it is normal behavioral pattern, may be my friend is used to doing that with me, then I will say okay no problem, but when I start seeing different scenes like this more often and relating to different people at different times and they all seem to replay themselves in real life which wasn’t the case before I started using this charm, then we must know that a change is coming upon us. That is the sort of experience I was having. Later I met a woman who was psychic and also a medium right from childhood (she still gets these forceful possessions, but her religion will not allow her to free herself for this entity to use her). Then I thought her this formula (she asked for it) and her experience was quiet different, she said when she started using it, she could sense the presence of spirits more and could tell if a person was going to die or was dead in a particular house hold, because of the sort of spirits she will see visiting the house. I really think this is an opportunity for those novices out there who want to experience something to try this out. There is a point I must make, these charms especially most of the ones I have come across. If you use them you start having these experiences, but if you stop gradually the experiences wane but not stop completely. However if you use various formulas over a long period of time, consistently (e.g. 5yrs) it becomes a part of you, then you become permanently clairvoyant or clair –whatever will be developed in you. I’ll try and give more than one formula, am just explaining these things so that by the time you start using it, you won’t have much questions to ask.

METHOD OF APPLICATION You could make incisions under your eyes or on your head depending on what the instructions are. They should be small incisions then rub in the required formula. The preparation could be mixed with black soap (I have tried with other bathing soaps like toilet soap) and it works, use this soap to wash your face every morning or evening before going to sleep. If you are scared of making incisions on your face, you can go for this option. It could also be a preparation like some spiritual stew prepared with herbs and animal parts; this concoction is to be eaten. Some herbs can also be burnt and licked with palm oil, honey or swallowed with some water or taken with your breakfast meal like oats. It could also be in the form of the TIRO preparation I talked about earlier on. Herbs could also be soaked in water and used in washing one’s face. Note; Am not a seal kind of guy and I like to be free. I don’t like carrying things on my body. I prefer to have them inside, internal, that way no body suspects anything and I have no excuse of claiming to have lost one’s power because I forgot it at home. Note; This incision on the face, the TIRO stuff, and the liquid concoction that you use on the face might cause some irritation and eye itching. It’s nothing serious though, but you’ll have other options like licking stuff. However do not scratch ‘cos it may make you bruise your face. What is actually happening is that you are trying to force open some channels of vision around your eyes (wherever) (Apart from the hygiene stuff that some people might talk about). For the incision do not let it get infected. What people do here is when they make incisions on their body; they do not bath for like 3 days or dip that part of their body in water. However you do it, do not let water wash away the charm that you rubbed in the incision and just try to prevent dirt from getting in it. Some people’s skins are very sensitive and when they mark their bodies, it doesn’t heal fast or some ugly growth might start to develop. If you are one of them or your skin is just precious to you just avoid making incisions eh. To the itching, if it becomes unbearable, what you do is get a matured snail and break the tip or pointed part of its shell and use what little water you get from there to rub your eyes or face. This is to cool down the process of vision channel opening, if it is becoming unbearable. Some people say that if you use these particular set of charms excessively i.e. eye incisions, tiro application, and liquid herbal concoction to wash face. You will go blind at old age or your vision will dim. Well am not old yet. I have met a lot of spiritualists over here and I can give you 100% assurance that most of them have used these charms both on their face and other parts of the body, yet they have excellent vision. In fact all of the spiritualists I know are not blind, they don’t even use glasses, some of them are in their 60’s and 50’s, yet they were born into these sorts of practices. They have been cutting incision on almost all parts of their body their whole life.

FORMULAS These charms have varying degrees of potency depending on the ingredients in the formula and the formula itself, as well as what they are supposed to do. Here is a small preparation for getting clearer and more meaningful and prophetic dreams. It is a small formula and I do not expect anybody to come crying to me that he has not seen anything, but it’s worth a try though.
The Magic of prophetic dreams Try and punch a hole in a coconut and collect all the water in it into a pot, clay pot will be better for burning and drop 1 single alligator pepper inside, put on fire then burn it till it turns to black then grind to powder. It’s going to be very small. Find a clean new sterilized blade, make an incision on your head or tell your partner, sister, brother, enemy, whoever you are comfortable with to make the incision and rub in this powder as well. Remember the more psychic you are the better these things work for you. We the not so psychic ones need not worry, there is always something for all of us and here it goes, it’s also for those who can’t cut or mark their bodies.
The Greater Magic of prophetic dreams There is a wonderful leaf known as Ewe Areyinkosun, ewe means leaf in Yoruba and the name of the leaf is Areyinkosun try finding a Yoruba English botanical dictionary. Get a large quantity of this leaf and burn with a whole alligator pepper. Burn till it turns black but do not burn to ashes or else it will lose its efficiency. Take a tablespoon full of this powder every morning and you will be assured of having a special and symbolic dream the following night. Take this concoction continuously for 2 years and you will become a prophet.
The Magic of Intuition and Vision This is actually the formula I gave to the psychic woman who started seeing dead spirits, while my intuition became sharper when I started using it. You know the small little flies that fly around in the night with some light glowing from the tail. We call them fire flies, I do not know what u call them ooooo. Try and get like 9 of those insects. They usually lie on grass in the night. What I used to do in those days was catch them and put them in the middle page of a book or thereabouts, and after some days 2 or 3 will suffice, I will open it and they will be stiff and dry. Then I take sand from a T-junction at 12 pm and 12 am (same T-junction) just a little will do. There is a plant here the yoruba call it Ewe Yunyun, it has a flower that looks like the sun flower but quite smaller. Try and get a dictionary to check the equivalent name in your language. What we need is 2 or 3 piece of the flowers, now get 9 seeds of alligator pepper, then grind everything together, keep a small pinch apart to make an incision below your eyes and rub in this powder (ouch that’s

scary I can’t do that) okay, okay, the other powder you can mix with soap, any soap, then use to wash your face every night before going to sleep. That’s it. You must notice some changes, but if you can make the incision as well as use the soap, this makes it even better.
The Magic of Vision Here goes another one, if you can get a baby squirrel that hasn’t opened its eyes yet, good you can let it die or ……Instruction is you burn it with one whole alligator pepper. Then make one incision each under your eyes and rub in the powder. Note: in burning these charms, they mustn’t burn to ashes but rather, it must burn till it turns black like coal. It is the black powder that we need. This powder retains the potency and power which the formula is supposed to work for. But when it becomes ash, then all power and potency is gone or can we say replaced with another sort, which will not do for the purpose we intended it for. As for the baby squirrel formula if you can make incisions under your eyes fine, else you can mix the powder with soap and use it to wash your face regularly. This particular formula is quite advanced but few are able to do it because of the rarity of the ingredient involved.
The Gradual Magic of Vision In those days when I was studying herbal medicine from one of my teachers, we used to go into bushes and thick forests (Once in a while) in search of rare herbs. Then he used to tell me that water that has collected in any part of a tree is good for increasing one’s vision, so we used such water to wash our face. So there you go, that is another formula for you. This might not be so strong, but continuous usage will help sharpen your inner vision and intuition.
The Great Magic of Intuition and knowing This is a high profile formula (if there is anything like that). You take a 3 faced kola nut, a bitter kola, one whole alligator pepper; put it under your pillow, when you are going to sleep. Sleep over it. The next day take them all, place them on the face of a big fully grown live snail and use a white cloth to wrap it round tightly and burn it all in a clay pot till it all turns to black. Note - A snail doesn’t burn that easily. It must be burnt along with the shell. This will take sometime, maybe 3 to 4 hrs or more depending on the intensity of the heat applied. As you are burning you should also marsh it in the pot so that it gets powdery quickly. After grind this black powder to fine black powder and lick with honey every morning or you take it with a glass of water. That sounds fairly simple doesn’t it?

The Magic of Prophesying Let me give one last one. Go find a wall gecko. Then get the tail feather of a parrot (it’s red in color). This wall gecko could be dead or alive, but should be complete (preferably). In most cases when catching it, the tail falls off. Put the feather into the mouth of the wall gecko push it till it goes deep , deep inside, till you feel it can’t go any further, then get some marching soldier ants, you can collect with some container or something. If you think you are cool, you can pick them with your hands. Good luck! Get a small piece of a broken mirror and one whole alligator pepper, burn and make incision under your eyes or use otherwise (i.e. soap). Now most of these powders do not get exhausted when you apply them once so what we usually do is keep the remaining powder and re use it again say every 2 months.
The Dream Oracle I feel happy so I think I should give one more for those who want to know if Africans also know that cats are clairvoyant, and if we can tap from their power. Wehave come a long way, so this should be like a souvenir (arrrggghhh). There is a leaf known as Ewe Omisin misin, get some reasonable quantity, then get freshly growing palm leaves (those that are still pointed and haven’t parted yet) get 2 of this, then the head of a cat. You must this in the night. Get naked and burn these items in your sleeping room or consultation room, altar room (where u can sleep), it could be burnt on a stove, but they must be burnt in the corner of your room/the room (where 2 walls meet). After, whenever you want to use it, you can take it with water. When you are going to sleep you must lie on a white (pure white) bed sheet or mat(in the same room it was burnt). Just lie on white and cover your self with a pure white cloth. The formula is very advanced, you must use this preparation only once in a month. During that period you must lie on white and cover yourself with white, whenever you want to be shown something. A lot of things will be shown to you during this period. Just make sure you are not a blabber mouth or else these visions will stop. At least I know you may not be able to practice all of the formulas, but there should be something for you in this book. However if you can’t get any of the ingredients I mentioned in all the formulas, am sorry. I want you to know that there are more advanced and complex formulas and I don’t fee I have given too much, for me this is just a tip of the iceberg. There are formulas involving vultures, crows, dogs, and many others I can’t even mention here. If I were to tell you to send money so that I do them and send to you, you might get into a fit, so I prefer we leave things the way they are, or go find other means else where. I have tried to avoid too complex and intricate formulas which even we over here find difficult to do. I have also tried to avoid including so much of our local herbs which are a necessity in most of the Knowing formulas I have with me here.

The Seer’s Attitude There is an attitude I want to warn you against. It disturbed me for sometime. When you use these charms, you expect to see, you always seem to be on the lookout. At times you might even start saying things not required of you (‘cos you think you now know or supposed to know) especially when you don’t feel, see, or sense anything. You might think because you have used these things so you must say something or force yourself to see something which will be correct or come to pass. Then you may conjure images in your head or feel like conjuring one. Ha ha ha. Absolutely wrong. Do not be expectant or always on the lookout for that moment. These things don’t come by force or coercion. It dawns on you in a gentle and subtle manner. You might not even notice it when it comes or might not be wholly conscious of it. When the corresponding event comes to play in real life, then it will dawn on you. That is when you will say …A ha this scene look familiar, I have already been shown. It is my sincere wish that this book help in improving you, my good readers (those who practice it) psychically as well as spiritually.

END NOTE: The events in this world are based on probabilities, things change. As you begin to get used to these knowing formulas, a lot of things start to make sense to you. Your life seems to be clearer, on the larger scale. But you come to understand that some things are not as important as some others. The main events or turning points in your life will be indicated to you and you will know when you get there.
