Warm -up

Aims: to create a warm atmosphere Procedure: Teacher asks the students how they are feeling. Teacher asks the student on duty to tell the absentees and writes them in the catalogue. Interaction: T-Ss, Ss-T Activity 2

Aims: to revise the vocabulary thought Procedure: The T shows the Ss some school objects and asks them to say what they are; then she asks the Ss to say their names and age; she also asks them to name some colors and to count up to 10 and the members of their family Interaction: T-Ss, Ss-T, S-T

Aims: to introduce the students into the new topic, to create expectations. Procedure :The T brought a soft toy. She stands in the middle of the room or gets the students into a circle.She introduces the toy, tells students it’s name and where it is from. The T points to a chair.She asks the students what it is called. She puts the toy on the chair and asks the students where it is. Then the T puts the toy under the chair and again asks where it is. The T repeats the action and puts the toy in various locations around the room and asks where it is. She elicits the nouns (door, window, table, board, boy, girl, etc.) then the prepositions of place(on, under, between, above, next to, in, in front off, behind).The Ss repeat every time Interaction : T – Ss; S-S; T-S

Aim: to develop speaking skills, using the new acquired vocabulary 2

Procedure: The T shows the students the preposition flashcards and asks them where the rabbit is. Ss answer, first only using short answers like”on the box”, and then with the teacher’s help they repeat/ say full sentences like: „the rabit is on the box” Interaction T-Ss, Ss-T Activity 4

Aim: to practice the prepositions of place by drawing an animal in the right place Procedure:The T gives the Ss worksheet no 1 and asks them to draw a cat/ monkey on the boxes following the instructions.They should use a different color for each animal. At the end of the activity the T checks their work and explains where necessary. Interaction: T-Ss, Ss-T Activity 5

Aims: to practice the prepositions of place and the colours in sentences with the teacher’s help Procedure:The teacher models one of the sentences few times: the monkey is on the box; The Ss repeat. The red monkey is under the box. The Ss repeat After that she drills the next sentence and they repeat. Interaction: T-Ss, Ss-T Activity 5

Aim: to practice the new structures by singing a song 3

Procedure: the T tells the Ss that they are going to listen to a song .After listening few times they will sing it together.The song is called „In on, under” The Ss listen and sing. Interaction:T-Ss, Ss-T Activity 8
